Sean Catlett:
Is a lot of your work inspired by dreams?
Mr. Donald Ross:
... No. My inspiration comes from things everyday. It's kinda random. A car drive, a song, part of a movie, line in a book, something someone says or does.
Untitled was interesting because it was easy to recall when I woke up. It was basically like someone taking a movie, smashing it, then giving any remaining pieces to me. I just filled the empty parts.
Sean Catlett:
I've noticed you have a slight Julie-Su obsession. Comments on that?
Mr. Donald Ross:
... She's fucking hot?
Wait, I can do better...
Um, not sure. I remember picking up a Knuckles' comic one day, who I was really more into then I ever was into Sonic (though I came to appreciate the latter more as time progressed), and in one select issue, she made her first appearance. As whatever as this sounds, I just kinda stood there, holding it, becoming captivated.
She was always my favorite character, and played many parts in the movies that I play in my head. Especially the musical which is the album The Downward Sprial, by Nine Inch Nails. She played a big part in that. Good movie.
... She's also really fucking hot.
Sean Catlett:
Annnnnd we're back.
Mr. Donald Ross:
To the max.
