What is the Legion Plant?
The Legion Plant is the Legion's way of transporting form planet to planet. The plant emits pure oxygen, making the surrounding environment very toxic due to the high levels of oxygen. The soldier Legions also help the Legion Plant by breaking down silicon, releasing more oxygen. When the flower blooms and the pod is about to launch, the pod sparks, causing a huge explosion, blasting it away from the planet it infected. The explosion is just like an atomic bomb.
The Legion plant explodes in Sendai, however Gamera jumps on top of the pod, risking his own life, preventing the pod from launching into space.
Gamera destroys a Legion Plant in Sapporo, Japan before it could launch it's self into space.
