What is Legion?
Legion are an alien insect that traveled to Earth inside a meteor. There is 1 large Queen / Mother Legion, and many smaller Legions. The Legion travel through space by launching a pod from a giant plant, known as the "Legion plant." The Legion's act just like a colony of ants. The soldiers gather food and mate with the queen. The soldiers also help the pod launch by feeding on silicon. When silicon is broken down, it releases oxygen, which helps launch the pod. (For more info, look at the Soldier Legion and Legion plant stats.) The Legion don't have muscles. Their joints are moved by pressured gas. When viewed with a microscope, the Legion's cell structure looks just like a semiconductor from feeding on silicon. The Legion choose to build their nests in cities, since it is where there are a lot of electromagnetic waves. Legion attack and build their nests where their enemies are. The Legion communicate electromagnetically. The Legion attack things that carry objects that use electromagnetic waves, such as cell phones and radios or things that carry silicon, such as glass. The Legion attack things that carry electromagnetic waves or silicon because the man-made electromagnetic waves jam the Legions communication with each other, forcing the Legion to believe we are enemies, and the Legion feed on Silicon.
Mother Legion's fighting style
The Legion are one of the few kaiju that aren't good nor evil. The Mother Legion is very persistent to bread and aid the Legion plant in launching it's seed into space. The Mother Legion will use a myriad of attacks in order to get it's way.
Mother / Queen Legion's abilities
Reproduction
The Mother Legion is able to reproduce about 100 Legion soldiers per hour. It is believed the soldiers might mate with the Mother Legion, since there is no King Legion. However, like most insects, it is also possible that the Mother legion has to mate only once, and can still produce many offspring in life. The Mother Legion used this as an attack, by sending the swarm to attack a fleet of jets.
Flight
The Mother Legion is able to fly, very much like the way a wasp flies. However, it's wing joints are very weak, and the Mother Legion's right wing was blown off by 2 aircraft missiles, permanently damaging the Mother Legion from flying again.
Electromagnetic beam
The Mother Legion is able to split the horn on it's head in two, and charge up enough electromagnetic energy to fire a beam, which is strong enough to break Gamera's shell and could easily blow up a fleet of army tanks. In Gamera 2, Legion blew up 50% of the military's army tanks with one blast from this attack.
Ability to block Gamera's plasma balls
The Mother Legion is able to use her 5 finger-like claws on the sides of her head to form an electromagnetic shield to block Gamera's fire balls. This same attack can block the Mother Legion from missiles by redirecting them.
Energy whips
This is Mother Legion's ultimate attack. When Gamera broke off the Mother Legion's horn, disabling her electromagnetic beam, the Mother Legion roared in rage, it's eyes flared red, and from the the center of her head, the Mother Legion unleashed deadly energy whips on Gamera. These energy whips can go through Gamera's shell and body, and cannot be blocked by any known material or element.
Although Legion has weak joints, it's exoskeleton is very hard. Not even air craft missiles or fire from army tanks could damage it.
