TOTAL COST OF ENTIRE OUTFIT: About £35

NOTE: Columbia's costume(s) take arguably the most upkeep. Sequins will fall off. You just keep adding more and keeping it special.

This is essentially the same as most of the Timewarp outfit. What is written below is exactly the same as is on the Timewarp page, with the exception of the Dog Collar (see underneath).

- DOG COLLAR

Overall cost of mine: £2

YOU NEED: A pet shop or market stall OR the belt/choker section in an accessory based shop.

1. Find a collar/choker which is black with brass pointed studs around it. At the front there should be a small ring, so as to connect to a chain.

2. That's it really. I used a choker covered in Rhinestones (black) with metal silver studs all the way round, without the ring at the front. I like it, but I'm on thelookout for anotherone more film accurate, if anyone sees one.

- SEQUINNED BUSTIER

Overall cost of mine: £3.50

YOU NEED: A charity shop ( Listed here,)I used the Salvation Army shop in Bedford.....

Perhaps the luckiest find EVER in a charity shop - okay, so it's not sequinned, which it should be, but it's sparkly silver, and that'll do for me!

I'll be getting a proper one from Saffy hopefully in the new year, but it does me fine for now.

Look in every section of the charity shop. I found this bustier in between two proper old stinky granny coats.

.

- STRIPED SHORTS

Overall cost of mine: £10

YOU NEED: Pair of black shorts, turnups, side zip and pockets if possible ( Charity shop,).....2m lengths of ribbon in yellow, green, red and blue (Material stall).....Needle and threads in same colours (Material stall).....time.....

1. Wash the shorts! (£3.50) Very important as will be Eau De Cheapy Shop.

2. If you want to be film accurate, get a still from the movie and use that as inspiration. In RHPS, the ribbons (35p/m)run into each other, ie. Red cuts into Blue etc., generally two coloured to each stripe.

3. Alternatively, get any colour ribbon you can (I recommend gold) and space them out evenly across the shorts, going from the top to the bottom. Tack, then sew.

4. Sew with an inch of ribbon going inside the waistband and an inch going up the leg. You'll be wearing fishnets, so these bits won't itch.

5. Avoid frayed ends - hem the ends of the ribbon to reduce this.

- FISHNETS (WITH BACK SEAM FOR ACCURACY)

Overall cost of mine: £2 - £5

YOU NEED: Shops such as: Debenhams, The Black Rose, H&M,etc.

1. Nice easy one this - go to a shop and buy the fishnets!!! Columbia wears those with a seam up the back.

2. Wear them!

1. Another easy one - go to a shop and buy the Socks. Easy Peasy.

- TAP SHOES

Overall cost of mine: £2 - £5

YOU NEED: A pair of Mary Jane tap shoes in your size regarldess of colour, 1 1/2" heel ( Charity shop).....Approx three large bottles of blue nail varnish ( Accessorize, etc.).....Spray-on-sealer (Plasti-cote from Wilkinsons).....Magna-tac or strong material glue (Beales or haberdashery).....100 individual silver sequins (in case of loss of them!)

1. Hunt down a pair of Mary Janes in your size. Best places to look are charity shops. Remember - you're painting over them, so the colour does not matter.

2. Take them home, and give them a good clean and dry properly so there's no grease or anything on the surface.

3. After putting down plenty of paper, and opening your windows so as not to completely gas your housemates (sorry guys!) coat each shoe with one layer of nail polish. Allow at least an hour to dry. Apply another layer. NOTE: First layer might look streaky. Don't worry - this is normal - it evens out with the second coat. Remember - paint the heels too, but not the underside of the sole - that's just silly.

3. Once all is dry and the housemates revived, stick the silver sequins on the shoes with the material glue, spaced evenly. Should have about 30-40 per shoe.

4. Finally, once you're happy with the way it looks, spray it with a coat of Plasti-cote, Scotch Guard, or similar clear spray. Also Games Workshop Matt varnish, so I have been told.

- BLUE AND SILVER RING

Overall cost of mine: £5

YOU NEED: A silver ring with a 'moat' running down the middle.....blue nail polish.....a needle.....

1. Find the silver ring. This is harder than it sounds!

2. Using a needle, take the polish and gently place it round the ring in the moat. You may wish to put a couple of coats on.

This is a nice easy one that needs touching up every couple of months or so. I like mine so much I wear it normally. nnnnnice!
