Tidbits: Notes Of Interest As rumored in recent weeks, ABC's veteran The Practice will conclude its eight-year run on May 16 as a precursor to a new David E. Kelley spin-off drama focusing on the world of civil law. Several characters, including recent addition James Spader (news) and co-stars Jessica Capshaw (news) and Rhona Mitra (news) are expected to stay on board.
