Apatosaurus was one of the most common sauropods, the largest group of dinosaurs to ever live. In fact, sauropods were the largest land animals of all time. Apatosaurus was typical of this group, walking on four columlike legs and equipted with a long neck and tail. Because of their massive size, Apatosaurus requires incredible amounts of food and spends the mojority of its day eating.
