The mighty Tyrannosaurus lunged out of the forest, its jaws open wide. Dr. Frost hit the ground and rolled away, just as the the animal bit down. Cooper turned, aiming his gun at the beast's head. The animal roared, and Cooper dropped the weapon and dodged into the trees. The Tyrannosaur slowed too a trot, being unable to pursue prey at high speeds for long periods of time. As the humans ducked behind bushes and shrubs for cover, the animal scanned the area, searching for its prey.

Equipted with steroscopic vision, it was not long before the Tyrannosaur spotted Nick crawling into a tight crack in a rocky ledge. With a tremendous roar, the Tyrannosaur exploded into a run, charging toward Nick's hiding place. Franticly, Nick attempted to sqeeze farther between the rocks, but he knew if he went to far he would become stuck. The Tyrannosaur stopped before the rock ledge and sniffed loudly. Nick could smell the foul breath of the great carnivore as it searched for its meal. The Tyrannosaur hissed and thrust its great head into the openning. Nick pulled back and sucked in his gut as the Tyrannosaur inched closer and closer. Then the animal openned its jaws and stuck out a thick, pink tounge. Only inches away, Nick could see wriggling white parasites moving accross the fleshy appendege. The tounge aproached Nick, waving in the air with a life of its own. Nick felt the wetness as it slapped back and forth accross his face. The Tyrannosaur snorted, and again Nick faced the odor of rotting meat. Somthing jabbed Nick from behind. He yelled out in surprise. "Shut up!" said Jeremy. Nick did his best to turn and saw that Jeremy had pulled some stones away and created an opening on the other side of the crack. He pulled Nick away from the Tyrannosaur, who's tounge was still searching for prey.

Nick and Jeremy raced into the jungle, following the trail of fresh footprints left by the others. Behind them, the Tyrannosaur roared in rage. It pulled itself out of the rocks and lunged after its prey. In the Jungle, Susan and the Air Force Pilot scrambled over logs and branches, trying to create as much distance between themselves and the massive predetor as possible. Suddently, the trees before them parted and the Tyrannosaur emerged, snarling savagely. Before he had a chance to react, the animal's jaws snapped shut on the pilot. The Tyrannosaur lifted the screaming man up into the air, who flailed wildly.

The Tyrannosaur bit down with a sharp crunching sound. The pilot stopped moving. Baselton, who had been hiding in the bushes, could not take it any longer. He bolted out into the open, running for his life. Fortunatly, the Tyrannosaur was too busy eating the pilot to notice. As Susan and Baselton scrambled away, a pair of legs belonging to the pilot landed on the ground behind them with a sickening splatter. Warm blood oozed out, staining the plants a deep red.

The Tyrannosaur threw its head back, swallowing the upper parts of the pilot. At that moment, Nick and Jeremy emerged from the jungle, having caught up with the rest of the group. The Tyrannosaur barred its teeth and roared, then charged toward the humans. "To the helicopter!" Baselton yelled, leading the way. As the Tyrannosaur barrelled after them like a freight train from hell, the humans raced through the jungle after Baselton. The group emerged from trees and entered a small ledge, fifty feet above the ground. In the center was the dark green millitary helicopter that Baselton, Cooper and the pilot had ridden in on. The Tyrannosaur was right behind them. Cooper raced behind the helicopter, scrambling for the tear gas canisters. The Tyrannosaurus was much faster though. The animal crashed into the helicopter, trampling it into a heap of twisted metal. A bright ball of fire rose into the air, showing that the engine had exploded. Cooper ducked out of the way as the flaming ball of wreckage plummeted off the edge of the cliff, smashing to the rocks far bellow. Confused and frightend by the flames, the Tyrannosaur retreated into the jungle after a final tremendous roar.

After everyone had caught their breath, Jeremy stood before the group. "Whether we like it or not," he said, "We're stuck here. My collegues and myself have scheduled for a boat to check in on us in one weeks time. You saw what happened back there. There is no way we can survive that long. These gentlmen obviously had planned to leave via helicopter, which is now destroyed. Our tents and other equiptment has been crushed into a useless state. Susan, do the satalite maps show any kind of shelter?" Susan pulled some papers out of her backpack and looked over them. "We're in luck," she said, "There's a large cluster of buildings a mile east of here". Jeremy nodded. "Alright then, lets get going. That will serve as a temporary refuge until more options present themselves" Dr. Frost said. "Wait just one minute," Baselton said abruptly, "Whether we have our helicopter or not, you're still under arrest". Jeremy glared at him. "That's fine, it's what we expected. But there is no way you can contain them as of now. I suggest you follow us if you value your lives, and I'm sure we can come to some sort of agreement". Baselton was taken aback. He stood, pondering what to do as Nick, Susan, Jeremy and Tom began to move East. "Alright" he said finnaly, "We're comming".
