I am a painter. I never expected to be working in wood. But a BIG tree on the parkway in front of my little house was taken down and I felt the need to honor the tree.
These four pieces are part of that once majestic tree. I rescued them from becoming firewood.
With the purchase of a sander I took the pieces to a new level. Sanded wood is marvelously smooth. To bring them even farther into the word of sculpture, I stained the pieces and sealed them.
