"...but in spite of all that- hell, maybe it’s just because of the fact that you know she’s yours. She’s beautiful to you. And you love her..."

matthew
grossman

as
boomer

DATE OF BIRTH: feb 15,1979

BACKGROUND: born in Manhattan, lived in queens then moved to Staten island in 1986. went to all public schools and despite what everyone thinks turned out ok. bachelors of arts degree from john jay college of criminal justice in criminology

ACTING EXPERIENCE: shows at family gatherings because lets face it isn't that where we all started. "Bye Bye Birdie", Lt Brannigan in Guys and Dolls. Patrick Martin in Little Shop of Horrors, PRHS Sing 2 years. Numerous (namingly 8) parts in Sugar (thanks guys). Acting and drama classes in high school and college.

ACTING INFLUENCES: Definitely Pachino, as well as some of the classics like jack lemmon, Milton berele and the rat pack namingly dean martin, the epitome of cool. Other influences include Tom Hanks and Mel Gibson.

ON ACTING: Loves the idea of becoming someone else and building layers onto a character. likes the idea of playing pretend and living in the moment and getting that rush that comes when you are putting your heart into your performance. stage and screen are different as I have learned. the main thing is to have fun. and something a professor once told me, What are you doing for me? in the case of motion and acting to sell the part.

ON BOOMER: Although Boomer did not go to college is no dummy. he is a very deep person a bit more mature than the rest of the group because he grew up in the real world and has a street sense about him. He didn't learn about the world or its ways from going to school and reading it in books he lived it. he is a very responsible individual that values good friends. the type of guy that everyone wants to hang out with laidback and at the same time does have problems of his own. he is like the older brother of the group.

ON THIS MOVIE: excited just to have been asked to be involved then to be asked back again and again. "they like me they really like me." the script is well written with may layers and hidden messages and stories. I also could not have asked for a better cast everyone is their own way with there own styles has had input to better the picture. this movie will make sense to a lot of people, growing up and finding that things will never be the same but we just have to move on and hopefully have good friends to go through the times with us.

PERSONAL QUOTE: this is difficult how does one person put all of there passions, fears, beliefs and principals in one quote? I know, "Live in the moment and dream big, do whatever you want to do in this life because it is you who will have to face yourself in the mirror everyday."
