LAKE ELSINORE

Lake Elsinore is located about 70 miles southeast of Los Angeles, California. Corona is to the north and Temecula is to the south.

Once located at the lake, but no longer in existance, was the Showboat Restaurant. According to reports, it was mounted on wheels for a rail system and could be lowered into the lake water. It can be seen in two Republic serials: "Manhunt in the African Jungle", and "Spy Smasher".
