This was the train station and work yard (i.e. roundhouse area) of the Santa Fe Railroad in Los Angeles. The station was demolished in the late 1930's after the present Union Station was built.
DIRECTIONS: The site of the station was at 300 Santa Fe Avenue, immediately south of the 1st Street Viaduct (east of downtown Los Angeles, on the west bank of the Los Angeles River).
