RABBIT DRY LAKE
Located midway between Deadman Point to the west and Lucerne Valley to the east, this dry lake lies mostly on the north side of Highway 18, and filming was done on this northern portion. In 1954, "The Lone Ranger" television show used the area for scenes in "Message to Fort Apache" and for a sequence in the opening credits.
