Brooks was in love with biology teacher Philip Boynton (portrayed by Jeff Chandler and Robert Rockwell). Margaret Davis (Jane Morgan) was Brooks absent-minded landlady. Harriet Conklin (Gloria McMillan) was the daughter of principal Conklin and a high school love interest for Walter Denton. Stretch (Fabian) Snodgrass (Leonard Smith) was a dull-witted athletic star and friend of Denton. Daisy Enright (Mary Jane Croft) was another English teacher at the school and was a romantic rival of Brooks. Jacques Monet (Gerald Mohr) was the French teacher.
