PERRY MASON - Volume 1
"Perry Mason" first saw the light of day as a character in a series of books by Erle Stanley Gardner. He then graduated into motion pictures. In 1943, he moved to the air ways on CBS Radio where the show lasted until 1955. When it was decided to transition the show to television, Gardner would not give his approval of the format desired. Hence, the show was reworked and retitled. It became "Edge of Night". "Perry Mason" finally appeared on television in 1957, starring Raymond Burr. The radio Perry Mason was portrayed by Barlett Robinson, Santos Ortega, Donald Briggs, and John Larkin, who became the longest lasting Mason. Della Street was portrayed by Gertrude Warner, Jan Miner, and Joan Alexander. Matt Crowley and Charles Webster were Paul Drake and Frank Dane and Mandel Kramer were Lieutenant Tragg. The radio show was a 15 minute episodic daily show.

This collection contains twenty-eight shows.
