| This was the second film by Sol Lesser (Tarzan the Fearless serial was the first) in a long line of Ape-Man flicks by his production company. In this one, "[they] romp, swim, run and swing through trees... It is exciting fare for the youngsters...but the pops and moms...may also get moderate fun out of this...the pretty Miss Holm and interesting if not authentic backgrounds that are well photographed. Morris' feats on ropes between trees and elsewhere, including in the water, make him a highly acceptable Tarzan." Variety
