I first saw Sean Bean as Carver Doone in the classic Lorna Doone, and loved him from the moment he spoke. Now Carver is not what you would call a "nice" character, but the way Sean portrayed Carver was amazing. You hated Carver...so that means Mr Bean was doing his job.





I then saw him as the horrible Earl of Fenton from the TV mini-series Scarlett and it cemented my love of the actor. I remember watching everything unfold during the story and I was screaming at the tv that I hated Fenton,,,and the bloody man got what he deserved!
**Ok so that does not speak very highly of me ((insert laugh))...but it does speak highly of Sean's acting performance**

Next, came the role of Alec Trevelyan in Goldeneye This character was brilliant!! You could see how crazy the man really was, and to date I still think he was the best Bond villian. He had the same training as 007, and he had the added bonus of trying to "even the score" between himself and his old buddy James.
Lord of the Rings came next. I had read the book...so I knew what was going to happen to Sean's character, so I was even more excited to see the performance. One word to describe it: Exhillarating!! To see how the ring was working on Boromir througout the movie, then him submitting to its will for destruction, and finally seeing Boromir reedeming himself by his own life. Sitting in the movie house, I had tears streaming down my face with the final words "I would have followed you my brother...my captain...my King!"

I have not seen all of Sean's movies..I mean there are tons of them!! You can go see everything he has done here.


Theatre is close to my heart. I love actors who are theatre performers....and the play Macbeth just happens to be my all time favorite play...so imagine my wonderment when Sean Bean himself was Macbeth.



Sean is Macbeth, the sinister, murdering, "king" who happens to be one of my favorite characters. I am only crying because it is showing in England...and I am stuck in the good old US of A. **Please note: if you happend to hear a story about a woman robbing a bank in the near future...it is probobably me....but don't tell the authorities..and take pitty on a woman trying to get to England!**
