Durand in Beggars and Choosers

Kevin Durand played the part of Cliff Igniewski in the series, possibly for one season only, I haven't been able to determine that out for sure, yet. It seems he doesn't get listed a lot on the sites for the show but here's what I found. "Cliff ---> The lovable screwup of an assistant to Lori, Cliff is actually very devious as we learned in the December 5 episode. Lori might have use for him after all." This from http://members.aol.com/lvolpone/cast.html. I wish I'd seen that ep but alas no. It's just the kind of show they show on SubTV in Finland, all kinds of Canadian crap (pardon me ;) ) so I'll kick myself if I hear it's run there or is currently running there for some reason with me out of the country. The worst part is it seems eerily familiar, too. Judging from the fact the Dec 5th 2000 ep is called The Woodhouse Conundrum he was in the show during its second season?

I was able to find the nice pic of Kevin up at the top from the Charlotte Ross site, the Beggars and Choosers photos and they were gracious enough to give me permission to use it here, too. Big thanks.

Ross Examines Hollywood in Beggars and Choosers has a couple of nice lines about Kevin.

"With Brad busy having actual sex with other people, Lori's most intimate current relationship is with her assistant, Cliff (Kevin Durand), and that consists entirely of threats, abuse, wheedling and temper tantrums (all hers), which Cliff responds to with a mix of acquiescence and assertiveness (courtesy of his therapist).
"Oh, I love him," says Ross of Cliff. "First of all, I think Kevin is a major find. He's got comedy timing that blows my mind. He literally makes me laugh. He's got the most endearing, doofus, 'I want to impress you' smile, that's so endearing."
And then there are the heels ... "They're pretty high, I have to say," says Ross, who is 5' 4". " This is the tallest co-starring cast I've ever had. Rudolf is tall, Kevin is really tall, but that's part of the joke, that I'm yelling at this huge guy."

There is a second season episode guide which lists some Cliff details available at TucWatkins.com. A more professional look, too, I fear. Sex and Violence (for paintballed and Platoon Cliff), The Woodhouse Conundrum and Golf War Syndrome (teaching Lori to play golf. Yeeps) seem good choices at first glance.

Also, if anybody can tell me which episode the following happened in, I'd be much obliged... A little quote from a Tom Sawyer site.

Throngs form around the actors playing Tom and Huck, but I make a beeline for Kevin Durand, who plays Injun Joe. "You were in Beggars and Choosers," I begin, referring to the Showtime series set at a third-rate TV network. "You did that crazy embarrassing dance over that attractive intern." It was a wondrous bit, the sort of performance that makes you squirm while you're laughing. It was, in its way, a coming-of-age dance, a squirmy pseudo-masturbatory interlude in which Durand's character Cliff loudly and dreamily broadcasts his crush on a comely young co-worker.
Something I think I SHOULD see, eventually...
Although if it's the Swan Lake scene they mean, just saw a clip of that and: "You know I've always loved the Swan Lake". Troublesome, always liked ballet dancers, starting to feel a bit like Cliff here. "Go with the walnuts..." Heheh.

And you MUST listen to the audio clip of " Margaret sexually harassing Cliff" from episode Zero Tolerance. It's from near the bottom (no pun intended) of this Beggars page. I'd give more credit to whoever got all the clips there but there's no contact info... Feel free to paintball me to get my attention if you know who owns the site. There's also one from Killer Sushi with Lori and Cliff. He sounds utterly confused in both clips. Great fun. Or maybe I'm just biased, hearing someone say "Nice buns" in connection to him. ;)

Anybody out there able to confirm any of the B&C info and/or provide me with more on any of his work, once again, let me know ASAP. I'm just doing detective work for now.
