Episode 13; First Human Specimen: Haruka visits Nara, where she tries to get information on the mysterious Quon. Back at home Ayato follows her suggestions for food, to Megu's surprise. Later, Ayato wonders if Haruka has a boyfriend and Megu tells him she only remembers one when she was little. A Dolem appears in the sky, but does nothing so Terra leaves it alone. Kunugi goes to see Rikudo, who had not met since before Mission Overload. Sayoko talks to Haruka about the first 'human specimen', then tells Ayato to see Quon. Haruka meanwhile investigates Quon and flashes back to before Megu was born, seeing Itsuki at school, moving in with Rikudo and other things. Haruka meets Futagami at the shrine, where he tells him about the mysterious Barbem Foundation, whose current leader seems to be the same as its founder. He also brings her info on the first human specimin. Itsuki and Haruka talk about when and why Haruka joined Terra in 2012. Ayato walks by and sees them kissing, but the Dolem's call distracts them. Ayato takes off in RahXephon while Quon listens to the Dolem's calling for her, having visions of sitting in a bed with Barbem, Maya and Watari near, and another of being with Maya at the shrine. Ayato has visions too, of his mother. Ayato gets ahold of himself and shoots down the Dolem with ease. Afterward Makoto passes information about Quon to Futagami, the same info he told Haruka earlier. Watari and Kunugi talk while a mysterious new product arrives...
