Episode 01; The Crest Of The Devil: Snow flutters over a church, as Kyosuke’s mother sits in a sea of blood. “Kyo ... suke ... Forgive me ...” , she says and abruptly strikes a knife into his chest. Falling unconscious, he feels an awakening beat of his heart piercing through his entire body. Kyosuke wakes up in a strange room. Mistakenly buried, the strangely familiar Maya Misaki, dug him out of his grave. Their souls seemed to call for each other; as blood red tears rolled from his eyes. Kyosuke visits his mother’s grave the next day and is attacked by Dr. Kyoya, an assassin from the Hospital Organization. The mysterious Shiro Mibu rescues Kyosuke from numerous calamities that continuously befall him.Later that night, Kyosuke finds himself running for his life - Maya is gone and Shiro tells an astonishing story: Kyosuke has a sister named Runa, whom he has never met. Maya is merely a fragmentary version of Runa called a Flicker. The Kirihara Group, an international conglomerate, is behind Maya's kidnapping. Kyosuke heads for Kirihara’s offshore base with Shiro to retrieve Maya." Episode 02; The World Is An Illusion: Why was mother killed? Who am I? Kyosuke asks endless questions to Shiro, but he is never free of this burden. High above them, there is an eerie shadow of a plane; there is a sudden flash of light from Kirihara’s killer satellite onto the offshore base. Maya, abducted by Kirihara’s team of researchers, is extensively examined. Kyosuke hears Maya’s screams in his mind - in a dream, he is reunited with Maya - but she leaves abruptly after thanking him. Overtaken by anxiety, Kyosuke leaves shaking off Shiro. Lead by his dream, Kyosuke ventures alone into “Fantasy World,” a theme park, owned by The Kirihara Group. |
