Plot:
At Club Dread, an alcohol (and other substances) drenched swinging-singles-style island resort off the coast of Costa Rica, the festivities are interrupted by the presence of a machete-wielding serial killer, so it's up to the staff (the Broken Lizard guys who made "Super Troopers") to try to stop (or at least hide) the bloodshed before they lose all their business (and of course, their swank jobs).

Review:
Comedy and Horror together is quite an odd combination and very tricky. And when you have a film that tries to do both, but fails miserably in both genres, it can make you weep for the full running time. Club Dread is the latest comedy by Broken Lizard's. They are somewhat known for their comedy, Super Troopers. Super Troopers looks like an amazing motion picture next to this tragedy.

Club Dread has countless problems and when you think it just might sparkle you up, it beats you down again even deeper into the ground. It's almost like I am experiencing death at the moment while watching Club Dread. This film is packed with such a terrible story, a horrendous direction, bad acting and anything else negative you can think about. This film is hurtful to the eyes and takes cinema experience to hell.

Club Dread is intolerable. If someone was to get up from their seat while in the middle of this film, I would not only smile, but I would applaud them for doing son. If they were simply going to the rest room, I would advise them to stay there and sit on the toilet because it will be more of an amazing time then this filthy mess that Club Dread is.

While I burst out all the hatred towards the film, let me say exactly what the angle was, the story in other words. First off, there are many young men and women going to the island to simply have a good time. Get drunk, dance and have some sexual experiences. This leads to a story on how there is a man out there that kills for fun and has chopped off his special region down there.

After all of that said, he appears and well, he begins to kill off people on the island. The point here was to have somewhat of a haunting film, but at the same time to have a handful of laughs while you are witnessing it. Instead, this film is a complete waste of time and money. It is neither funny nor scary, its truly sad when an intentional comedy is not funny whatsoever.

If it was myself that directed this junk, I would be hitting myself for well over a decade. The makers of this film need to certainly take another direction if they still want to continue making films. There are times when people say how bad can a film be and its sad and true that a film can really be torture, just plain torture to watch. Club Dread is the perfect example to give in that matter.

I'm even disgusted in writing a review for this film, but the point must be made. Club Dread fails miserably because it continuously has the same situations happening, the punch lines are like a sissy punch and the entire story is just terrible and should have never been written.

For being such a terrible motion picture, I simply would watch House Of The Dead five times instead of this film. Club Dread is easily going to be the worst film of the year and possibly the worst anyone can lay their eyes on. The very sad thing of Club Dread is that it never had potential from the moment it begun, its simply a disaster from start to finish. There is not one interesting element to point out in this movie, not one interesting element.

Club Dread is a perfect sign that the bit of talent these guys had are simply no longer existent. This is a downright awful film and it is simply one of the worst films I have ever seen on screen. Its terrible, horrendous and just painful to the eyes. This should never be watched by any human beings, because it can make you not want to go to the theatres for a very long time. Club Dread=Awful, just awful. Awful. Put it this way, if I were in the island, I would beg on my knees and plead for the killer to end my life right there and then.
