My names Phil and I was born in Connecticut and lived in New
Jersey until I was about 6 or 7 or something like that. I mostly
grew up in North Bend, Washington with the exception of a year when I
lived in Eagle River, Alaska. I lived in Washington from Grade 2-5
and 7-12. When I was in middle school I attended Chief
Kanim, where I was introduced to video by my teacher Mr.
Dockery. I also took video classes at Mount
Si High School, eventually becoming the Associated Student Body
(ASB)
Media Consultant.

During my Senior year of high school I won the Washington Award for
Vocational Excellence for media technology. Although the grant only
applied in Washington State I chose to go to college at Montana State University in
Bozeman with a Media Theatre Arts
major (film) because none of the Washington State colleges or universities
offered film. Also, after the 9/11 tragedy I organized a benefit
dinner for the liberty fund through my work at THE PIZZA PLACE in North
Bend, WA (best Chicago style pizza outside of Chicago I might add).
All the Proceeds were donated to the Red Cross. We rose $2,359
total. 6 months later I was presented with a community service award
by the city of North Bend. I graduated from Mount Si in the spring
of 2002 with High Honors.
