| What a film, A pure classic which
is still talked about and watched on a regular basis by
countless people. Even one of my aunties who is in her
sixties recently asked could she borrow my video of the
Evil Dead after she over heard her grandchildren talking
about this great film. After calling around her house a
few weeks later to pick up the video her reply was what a
load of rubbish, not a least bit scary. The film itself is about a bunch of teenagers who go holidaying in the Tennessee Woodlands. Whilst there they stumble upon the Necrinomicon ( Book of the dead ) and unleash the spirit of the Evil Dead. First the trees then the bodies of their friends are possessed by the spirit. With bodily dismemberment seemingly the only way to stop this nightmare. With so many other websites devoted to this film the only thing I could do to try and make this site a little different was to Scan the Evil Dead trilogy using the sleeves from my own collection. All the scans are original copies with the original Evil Dead being an uncertified copy. Sleeve Notes for Evil Dead Trilogy Evil Dead The Evil Dead is a classic cult horror film. Five college kids take a holiday in a remote log cabin where they find the mysterious Book of the Dead (The Necronomicon) and a tape recording that belonged to the owner of the cabin. In the surrounding Tennessee forest the evil dead lie in wait for the ancient incantation that will give them license to inhabit bodies of the living. Watch in horror as the five friends listen to the tape recording and unwittingly resurrect the slumbering demons. One by one, Cheryl, Scotty, Linda and Shelly are possessed by the spirits of the dead and turned into grotesque murdering zombies whose thirst for revenge is insatiable. As the night wanes, only one man remains: Ash (Bruce Campbell). He must now defend himself while trying to uncover the horrible secret of The Evil Dead. Evil Dead 2 Evil Dead 2 is a sophisticated blood and gore satire with wall-to-wall special effects that concentrates on the classic conflict between good and evil. In an apparently forsaken cottage, Ash and Linda discover a tape recorder. They turn it on to hear the voice of Professor Knowby, who has successfully translated 'The book of the dead.' His words awaken the spirit of evil, possessing Linda. Ash begins his relentless battle against an all-powerful evil that takes many forms including the trees, Linda's decapitated head and even his own hand. When evil appears to get the upper hand it is left to Ash to don chainsaw and shotgun and rid the world of the demon spirit by dawn. Army of Darkness, Evil Dead 3 It is time of great evil. The Army of Darkness is rising. Into this medieval confusion arrives Ash, newly transported from the 20th Century. He is reluctantly hailed as a hero sent to oppose the deadites. Fully armed with a chainsaw, a shotgun and a '73 Sedan, he goes in search for the 'Book Of The Dead' which contains the spell to open the doorway through time. Unfortunately, Ash, not being the brightest of heroes, reads out the wrong spell, resurrecting the Army of the Dead. Will the world be plunged into darkness forever? Will he save the beautiful maiden, Shelia? Does our loudmouth, cowardly hero really care? Find out as Director Sam Raimi, brings this hilarious third part of the 'Evil Dead' series back to life.
