Biography:
With a spirit as pure as driven snow, Guy is the very embodiment of a warrior. Sworn to rout out impurity wherever it lurks, he journeys the world, laying waste to those of evil-hearts with uncanny speed and precision.
But his path to enlightenment was by no means an easy one. As a teenager, Guy was a gifted martial artist, but he was also extremely brash, and his arrogance often led him to grow lax in his training. Eventually his attitude became such a hindrance that his master ultimately had no choice but to expel him from his tutelage.
Extremely upset, but no less impudent, Guy went on his way and began searching for a new mentor. But much to his dismay, none of the masters he had approached were interested in training what they saw as an overly exuberant and undisciplined child.
Wounded by the constant sting of rejection, Guy eventually fell into depression. But when he finally lifted his head, he saw the shadow of a man standing over him, and looked up to find Zeku, the 38th master of Bushinryu, staring down upon him.
"What troubles you, my son?" the master inquired.
Guy recounted to Zeku the trials of his search. When he had finished his story, a warm smile appeared on the master's face, and he extended his hand.
"Your tale is an unfortunate one, but I sense you still yearn to become a true warrior. I am in need of a pupil to train in the art of Bushin. I must warn you now, it is a harsh discipline. It will demand your undivided attention, both day and night. But once you complete your training, you will have become a pure warrior, and eventually earn the right to succeed me as the master of Bushin. Will you accept?"
"I will." Guy replied.
So it was that Guy began his training under Zeku, learning the powerful techniques of Bushin and tempering his warrior spirit. Towards the end of his training, Zeku bade his pupil to go forth into the world and apply what he had learned. In response, Guy made his way to Metro City, where he joined his best friend Cody and the newly-elected mayor Mike Haggar in bringing down the degenerate plague known as Mad Gear.
When the fight was over, Guy returned to his training, but it wasn't long afterward that Zeku reappeared to challenge him for the title of Bushin master. Though tradition demanded the death of the teacher at the hands of the pupil, Guy spared his mentor's life, but in doing so proved his worthiness to Zeku.
Now as the 39th Bushin Master, Guy continues touring the world in search of evil spirits, and perhaps one day, a pupil worthy of taking his place as the master of his powerful art.
