The Lords of Shadow broke through to this plane nearly twelve centuries ago. Through their instrumentality, demons were brought through a magical portal from their homeworld, and masqueraded as wise or holy men. Thousands, if not millions, of humans were purged from this earth in the demonically inspired Inquisition.
The Triumvirate ruling body for all the demons on this earth consists of Perigoktos, Ixthusael, and Zenobia. All three have seen milennia of conflict between light and dark. They have plotted their battles carefully, leading up to this era of apathy. Humanity is on the brink of self-destruction. Through the machinations of these Lords of Shadow, the belief in any higher power - good or evil - has dropped to almost nothing.
Every action has consequences. Their victory looms ever nearer. But a new threat - new, alien demons - slowly approaches. Their battle to find Angel Fire must not be delayed any longer. Through any means necessary, that weapon will be theirs. It is nearly time for them to step forth from the shadows and claim this world for darkness.
The only force that can stop them, is the one they must embrace and capture.
