Driveway
This too, doesn't seem too bad. From the picture, however, these are things you can't see: The backyard part of the drive way is paved; the front is not. The shed SITS on the asphalt. It has no other foundation. The walls are obviously rotting. The shed has a pole screwed to it to hold the one side of the large gate. That pole was not secured into the ground, it too is rotting, and no longer even touches the asphalt. On the other side of the shed you will see a guide wire attached to the shed, which is then attached to the nearby tree. This is to PULL the shed up some so the gate can open and close!!!!!! The other side of the gate is similarly wired--TO THE HOUSE!

Backyard
Here is where it starts to get FUN!
There is an upper and lower deck. The deck goes to the edge of the property on the one side. Just to the right edge of the photo is a green gazebo structure which housed a pond(will get a picture soon)...complete with Pea gravel, built INTO the deck with landscape timbers( and a spot where you could plant 2 pots of flowers)GONE! We will level this off, and after that oak tree is trimmed some, would like to have a dining area there. Yes, you are correct! That IS the foundation for the shed! Obviously, we had a shed there at one point. I am guessing when they added more deck they moved it, as it is VERY close to the edge of the deck. For the moment, I have no plans to remove it; we have PLENTY of real work to do! So, I shall place planters all around it, and we are using it as a place to barbeque.
| Master Bedroom
(click on photo for AFTER shot) This is our room. Came complete with a Nascar switch plate and stickers stuck to the door. Many MANY MANY holes in the walls where who knows what was hanging!!! (there are an inordinate amount of shelves on L brackets lying in the garage)
For the time being, the rug is staying. The walls have since been painted a lovely beigy-rose shade called chenille. The curtains are olive green with beige sheer swags with roses on them. We have removed the lovely metal Bi-fold closet doors, and anticipate replacing them with interior doors---SOON, as that hanger rod seems to be a favorite spot for Hamish to sleep on (and BTW, he is jumping from the FLOOR to do so) The second door, next to the window, is to the "master" bath...and yes, they used to have a dog, who was locked up in there a lot, as you can see by the doors scratches.

Masterbath
What can be said about this charmer? There are THREE layers of wall paper both at the ceiling and chair rail--, the wood shelves were held in by bolts of an industrial strength; the walls broke taking them down. Turns out once I finished in here that there is no black in the floor. We removed the lovely metal bi-fold doors from the utility closet, where our washer/dryer and water heater are; I have replaced with a sage shower curtain. The walls are the same color as the bedroom, and I forced myself to get rid of the amber crystaled hallway chandelier that was the light source.
 | Deck
So, back outside for a moment to show you our deck and a bit more of the yard. We are the owners of that far back yard area, that is fenced in by the short fence....why its fenced in we are unsure, as it is NOT fenced at the back of the garage, so children or dogs would be able to get out. Right now, it is where we are incubating a small army of mosquitos, and we also are the owners of a small acorn forest. We plan to put a new shed up in the far front corner of this area and remove the fence.
Turning your attention to the new wood on the deck railing now, let me describe the former attraction we had there: a set of stairs so steep, and without a railing that you could have called it a ladder. But, alas, it was not; it merely was our handy homeowner, buying stair stringers too short, and turning them upside down!
 | Livingroom This room is for the moment just holding our boxes. We have only enough furniture for the den, and as that needs little/no work, we moved in there. The living room will be the last to be decorated. Other than wallpaper borders that must come down, the largest decorating challenge is what to do with those finials on top of the half wall.....

Thank Goodness the livingroom requires so little work!! This chocolate pudding wall must go! We have already ripped down the cows and horses from the diningroom. The chickens are proving to be determined to remain in the kitchen. The biggest issue with this room is that the bar area, a brilliant idea, is done so poorly. They basically cut off the molding and finials that separated the two rooms and slapped an oversized counter top on top of the roughly chopped wall with a few L brackets.

 | Hallbath
This is the main bathroom in the house. It was painted with Flat paint, and the patches they had to make when they removed the towel racks were painted with semi gloss! The towel racks and toilet paper holders have moved a number of times. The wallpaper borders were 3 horrid layers. Overall the walls were in rough shape, so I have made this room rather "distressed" in the finish....figure if you can't beat 'em, join 'em!
 | Guest Room
Nothing wrong in here that peeling off lighthouse borders from the top and bottom edges of the walls, a coat of paint and a new fan won't fix! The guest room is essentially what the studio also looked like, before. Here are the AFTER pictures of the studio, along with more information than you may need!LOL

I have two work areas in the room. One is a 5 x3 foot desk; I put my sewing machine on this when I am quilting. The desk and my cutting table, which is about 7 inches higher than the desk, are against the back wall; I can sit or stand at both. The shelves behind the desk hold all of my scrapbooking supplies; my materials for altering books, and various other crafting pursuits. Also there, but needing a new home, are all my genealogy papers (original letters, photos) In the carts on the floor are rubber stamping, papers, laces, ribbons, trims and tools. The wire grid on the bottom shelf has short trays, that hold current paper projects. On the other side of the room are someposters for inspiration, and large flat "folders" that hold art, paper, etc.

This is the wall that has the door (just left of picture) We took the closet doors off, added shelves thru-out the closet, and then built shelves to line the rest of that wall. The window is at the far right.
In the closet I have SOME batting, and large pieces of fabric. My finished scrapbooks, negative binders and genealogy binders (which need a new home) are in here too. Card making supplies (the cards themselves), my stereo and some floral supplies are also in the closet.
My 1/2 yard fabrics for quilting, and sewing notions, quilt books and most of my magazines are on the outside shelves. The two top shelves hold quilts in progress.
