Cedar Park Slave/Tenant House at Ewen Upon Ewenton Cumberstone Road, Harwood
This small one and one-half story structure, traditionally thought to have been a slave house, stands about seventy-five yards from the main house. The construction materials suggest a mid-19th century date, although the owner at the time of the survey doubted that the house had been built during slavery. The main house at Cedar Park is one of the few in Maryland that is known to be a 17th century dwelling, although none of the slave houses of that earlier era remain.
