Terry Giliam's failed attempt to adapt the story of Don Quixote (made famous in the musical THE MAN OF LA MANCHA). Only six days of shooting were finished before the project self-destructed. At least some fantasy scenes involving giants (presumably Quixote's hallucinations regarding some windmills) were planned and partially shot. The behind-the-scenes story of the disastrous shoot was captured in the documentary LOST IN LA MANCHA.
