In interviews with the creative team behind the unmade "Godzilla: King of the Monsters 3D" they have mentioned that had the film been made, their follow-up to it would be not a sequel, but another remakes of a classic Japanese movie monster, "Rodan 3D". But we all know what happened with porducer-director Steve Miner's attempt at doing a G-film and thus no massive super sonic pterodactyls menacing the US of A.
