This is the entrance way when you first walk into the house. It was not used in the film. At the very back of the room (where the fireplace is) is where Micheal Rymer and his assistants were sitting and had the TV's set up for watching the scenes as they were rehearsed and filmed. It was also used for lighting and to do make-up for the actors in between takes and rehearsals.
