Four-time Golden Globe winner and emmy nominee Cybill Shepherd recently starred as Cybill Sheridan, a forty-something actress trying to keep a career afloat in an industry that worships youth, in the hit half-hour comedy series "Cybill" for CBS-TV. Cybill Sheridan's life is extremely full with two very independent daughters, a grandson, two ex-husbands who always seem to be around and a best friend whose sardonic wit can slice through any situation. Serving as Executive Producer, Shepherd was also involved in the editing, casting and script development for the show.

Born and raised in Memphis, Tennessee, Shepherd won "Model of the Year" in 1968 from Stewart Models and has appeared on the covers of Life, Vogue, Glamour, and People magazines, among others. She made her film debut in 1971 in the highly acclaimed "The Last Picture Show" which led to starring roles in "The Heartbreak Kid," "Taxi Driver," "Daisy Miller," "Alice," "Married to It," "Once Upon a Crime," "Texasville," and "Chances Are," just to name a few.

Cybill's theatrical experience include starring roles in "Shot in the Dark," "The Seven Year Itch," "Last of the Red Hot Lovers", "Lunch Hour," "Vanities" and "Picnic". For television, Shepherd has starred in the series "Yellow Rose," "Moonlighting" and has hosted the Emmy and Golden Globe awards. In addition to winning four Golden Globe Awards for best actress in a television comedy, she won four People's Choice Awards and was honored with Bruce Willis as "Woman and Man of the Year in Broadcasting" by the Hollywood Radio and Television Society.

Shepherd has starred in numerous acclaimed television productions, including "While Justice Sleeps," "Baby Brokers," "There Was A Little Boy," "Journey of the Heart," "Stormy Weathers" (which she executive produced), "Which Way Home" for TNT, the mini-series "The Long Hot Summer" and "Telling Secrets." Additionally, Cybill executive produced, co-wrote and starred in "Memphis," based on Shelby Foote's novel September, September.

Cybill started singing with her church choir at age eight, and began studying voice at sixteen. She has performed sold out concerts throughout the country blending rock, blues, ballads and standards. She has recorded six albums, including "Mad About the Boy" with Stan Getz, "Vanilla" with Phineas Newborn Jr., and "Somewhere Down the Road" featured a title cut with Peabo Bryson.  "Talk Memphis to Me" was released in 1997 by Drive Entertainment. Her last album, "Songs from the Cybill Show",  was released in July of 1999. This is a 'must have' for all fans of the show.

A mother of three, Cybill lives in California with twins Ariel and Zachariah. Her daughter Clementine recently married actor Chad Todhunter. Cybill is a nutrition and physical fitness enthusiast. Her special interests are walking, swimming, bicycling and reading with her kids. Singing to a live audience is her particular passion. She has appeared in San Fransisco at The Fairmont Hotel, and at London's most prestigious cabaret, The Cafe Royale. Cybill sang at Rainbow & Stars in New York and performed at the Cinegrill in Los Angeles. She will continue to perform as often as possible at the Cinegrill.

She has served as the national spokesperson for Voters for Choice and the American Lung Association. In 1999 Revlon announced Cybill as spokesperson for their Ultima II product line, making her the oldest women in history to represent a major cosmetics company. In addition, Cybill and her daughter Clementine have signed with Easy Spirit shoes.

Cybill has recently written her autobiography entitled "Cybill Disobedience". The book chronicles her 30 year career and how she survived beauty pageants, Elvis, sex, Bruce Willis, lies, marriage, motherhood, Hollywood, and the irrepressible urge to say what she thinks.
