"Rose Red" is a mini-series based on a story Stephen King wrote entirely for TV.
King set the story in L.A. at first, but, after seeing a photo of Thornewood Castle,
changed the setting of the story to the Emerald City - Seattle.

    Filming locations:
    Thornewood Castle (located on American Lake outside of Tacoma).
    Seattle: Pioneer Square; Queen Anne Hill (a Seattle neighborhood);
    The University of Washington campus.

    The interior shots were filmed in old airplane hangars located at the
    former Sand Point Naval Airstation on the shores of Lake Washington.


    Synopsis:
    A college professor gathers a group of psychics to spend a weekend at a mysterious old Seattle mansion known as "Rose Red". During their stay there, they find themselves experiencing strange happenings - including the house adding rooms to itself, and statues coming to life. (Eeeeeeeeeek!)
