After the second Austin Powers movie, I really felt that this movie would be so bad that it would cause the end of the Austin Powers series. I am glad to say that I was mistaken. This movie, although not as good as the first in the series, is still very funny and has some new ideas brought to the series. However, it does have many flaws. First, every joke is repeated to the point where it’s not even funny anymore. In one scene, a small joke is used where white objects cause the subtitles of a Japanese man to be misinterpreted. It was funny when they did the first one, but it just got old when it dragged on and on. Second, the movie is disgusting for no apparent reason. It’s just nasty because it feels like it. Some of the more unpleasant comments are funny; however, most are just there and really aren’t funny. All in all the movies faults did not seem to overpower it as in The Spy Who Shagged Me, and it still allowed for a very enjoyable experience. |
