The often overlooked movie in the New Jersey Trilogy tells the story of T.S. (Jeremy London) as he tries to win back the love of his former girlfriend through the help of Brodie (Jason Lee) who has also lost a girl (Shannon Doherty); however, Brodie is more reluctant to win back his girl. This movie still has all the essentials of a movie in the New Jersey trilogy (i.e. Jay and Silent Bob, vulgarity, etc.); however, this movie isn’t as consistently funny as some of the other Kevin Smith movies. Also, you can tell how the studio forced him to insert certain things in the movie (i.e. nudity, Universal Studios wanted a “smart Porky’s” from Kevin Smith). However, this movie still is very funny just like every other Kevin Smith movie. It’s not a Clerks or a Jay and Silent Bob Strike Back, but it still is a good movie. |
