"My most recent character obsession is Captain Wyler from season two of the TV show Hunter. Actually, I'd call him more of a passing interest than an obsession, because I don't think of him as much as I usually do, in these cases. I noticed him as the fam and I were rewatching that season recently. He wears 3 piece suits - and "every girl IS crazy 'bout a Sharp Dressed Man," lol. I've heard the actor described as having "Yale good looks," and he certainly does have an Ivy League air... which makes me think, "WOW, he is SO out of my league!" Maybe that's why, unlike my usual character obsessions, I don't have any particular scenes in my head of me with him (although I'm enjoying trying to compose some). His character doesn't get much air time, usually just brief exchanges in his office. Unlike most of Hunter's bosses, Wyler doesn't seem perpetually angry; he's got a quiet strength, thoughtful but firm, not a pushover. At the same time, I almost think of him as too perfect, which may contribute to my trouble imagining scenes with him. I guess with where I am in life right now, I just find the idea of his type - the man in charge, always so "together," so in control - comforting."
