Review: The Texas Chainsaw Massacre

by Jake Sproul

Grade: F

Yes, the movie does have scares; but the way this film chooses to scare is by desensitizing the audience with gruesome and gut-churning images of torture and gore. One by one, a group of stranded teenagers in Texas are picked off by a freak with a chainsaw who enjoys removing and wearing the faces of his victims. Bad dialogue and really bad acting gives this film the distinction of one of the worst movies of the year.
