Bongo Bongo is the ancient shadow beast and the guardian of the Shadow Temple. He was first sealed away by Impa, who used her power to separate the evil beast from the natural world in the bottom of a well and then began to open up a small village. Several years later however, this creature escaped from it's seal at the bottom of a well and wrecked havoc on the village built by Impa. Link and Sheik both fell to the beast's unexpected surprise, but Impa went on to the Shadow Temple and sealed up the beast inside. This creature was then followed by Link to a mysterious place where Link fought the creature until it's end. Bongo Bongo gets his name from the drum he uses as a weapon. He can only been seen by the eye of truth and, other than invisibility, has no other powerful strength's. He does however have massive physical strength and his huge size and drum can keep his opponents off balance. Link however overcame this struggle and did in fact end the creatures existence.
