I would just write about the Live from the 10 spot show at the bottom of the hill in the great city of San Francisco, that some call frisco, or the punx call it the city, but that would be dull, so I'll tell you the real story...I admit I truly had the time of my life. It all began one day I was online the airwaves and I saw that they were having a contest at greenday.com and they were giving away free tickets to idiot club members and all you had to do was talk about how much green day means to you. Me being a green day fan since Kerplunk, since living in the Bay Area in San Jose, California, before moving to San Diego county in 94 and that was when dookie just went crazy and sold millions and everyone knows that story, but anyways, yeh I wrote to Green Day.com and told them I wanted tickets and Lisa ( The Greatest ) ( President of the Idiot club ) ( Boyfriend to someone from the band Samiem ) she emailed me back and said that me and a friend could go to the Live from the 10 spot show. I starting bouncing off my walls with joy...all I had to do was convince my parents to let me go. That took awhile, I thought to myself if they say no..I'll just pull a Lori L Story from the layout of Kerplunk. Just kidding! I know that's a fake story and do you really think that green day drink milk in beer bottles at shows, come on! God Dammit! he hee he Alright...anyways, so I picked my friend Josh to go to the show with me, cause he's always got cash and we caught a train in downtown San Diego and took a bus from L.A. to the city of Frisco. Along the way on the train we met different kinds of people. I met this cool girl who was on her way home to some city called Merced. She was a fan of green day and we hit it off we chatted until her stop..I told her where I was going and she didin't beleive me..so I told her to watch mtv and look for me. We exchanged phone numbers and I gave her a hug and she was gone. In L.A. Josh was chatting with some Marine dude for hours, so I just slept..cause we had to wait for are bus to the city and I think we waited for like 3 hours it was so late cause I remember it being dark. Well anyways are bus arrived and we were on are way to Frsico. we met alot of old people on that bus..he hee he I remember this ladie asking me if my hairr got caught in something.. I was like no...I was wrestling with some dog that attakced me and she smiled and told me to be careful. When we arrived in the city near pier 39..thats when me and JOsh had to put are heads together and find out where we had to meet Lisa. I had the address, but with no directions on how to get from pier 39 to Lisa. So we got lost and Josh was getting uptight..then I asked some bum directions and he said he would for a ciggertte and he walked us to the record label warner bros..I think it was and thats where we met Lisa she was cool..she was wearing dark circle shades. she told us to we were early. Me and Josh were like...holly shit! I thought we were late! she said nope..come back her at 5 and were gonna meet up with everyone else and then take the nimrod bus to the club. She also said that she couldn't tell where the club was. At that time it was a mystery. She told us that it was cool we came this far to see green day.. She called us true fans..and I think that was what made it so great of a trip. So me and Josh went to mcdonalds and played video games and then came back on got marked down and lisa gave us are tickets and we jumped onto the nimrod bus. Thats where we met all the green day idiot club members I wanted to start something in the bus like a paper fight or something..looking back on it I wish I did..it was cool though we got to listen to green day in the bus with and all the fans on the way to the club which was as you know the bottom of the hill club. When we pulled into a street on the side of the club a girl ran by the side of the bus and ripped the nimrod banner off the bus. It was a friend of Gavin the guy who later during the show plays disappearing boy and basket case with billie. He's in a band called the debris. Well anyways we got off the bus and headed to the front of the club which had a huge mtv bus in front of it and alot of security guards..they made me take off my studded belt and chain wallet which pissed me off..I told them I better get it back or I'll sue..they told me I would and I did at the end of the show. So we walked inside and it was a small club with a bar on the side and a small stage it was perfect for a green day show. Looking around in a daze at all the neon banners on the side..It was a great place. People who were 21 were drinking and chatting at the bar. I was in the club first before JOsh and then Josh came running in after me amazed because his ticket number was 69..I called him a nimrod. So we made it to the left side of the stage only 1 other person was in front of us. I ahd the camera on the side right in my face, from what I heard and X girlfriend of mine said she saw me...that why I've been dying to see the video of the show. While me and JOsh were waiting we were talking to fans and then the mtv dj dude the guy who talks funny and his hair is always up and he talks like he's the uk..oh yeh toby ..that guy. He came out and was doing takes for commercial stops and everyone was screaming behind him and you could barely hear what he was saying...that just pumped me up for green day..and It pumped up all the fans too. So then Green Day came running out like ragging lunatics Billie had a budweiser and his guitar in his hand and they went into there normal going to pasalacqua. They played a set for mtv and in one song mike hit himself in the nose with is bass I didin't see what happened but I heard that was what happened..I was running around in the pit. After the mtv was taped green day played songs for all the fans that showed and I thought that was coolest thing..what a great band green day is!! They played b sides like desensitized and the song for Jason Andrew Relve (JAR) They played songs that THey didin't play on the nimrod tour..I saw them in san diego --=o) They played All the time PLaytpus last ride in, espinoge, and they played some old songs from kerplunk and slappy. They played cover songs by ozzy and and I think an Iroin Maden song..and they during a prt of the show BIllie's brother came was forced on stage by Billie to dance to Jaded. He didin't dance he just stood there and then jumped into the crowd. I heard Aaron Cometbus of Pinhead Gunpowder was the guy wearing the mask in the pit..but to this date I still don't know if that was him. He was going crazy in the pit..after mtv left billie told him its cool now you can take your mask off, but he kept it on. hmm, --=o) Oh yeh! Rob Cavolla there producer pladed bass for awhile and the bass player off pansy division played and some other mtv guy sand my generation. Green Day I think played over 30 songs that night I think. Alot of songs! So when the show was over just lossed his bienne and was upset, I told him who cares we gotta get home now. So we took cal train to my grandma's house in San Jose. And slept there and ate my grandma's food. Then she loaned us money to get back home to san diego..I payed her off when she came to visit me and san diego..what a ride me and josh had!! We met alot of great people! Oh yeh! On the nimrod bus back..tre came on the bus and told everyone to have a blast with everything..he said to have fun and do what ya want! My friend JOsh gave him a ring that said pimp on it. that he got in a quarter machine somehwhere..I wonder if tre' still has the ring. --=o) Anyways, It was a blast! The Experiance was Eveything!
