Prophecy Evolving Before Our Eyes:

Part One Of Three Parts
Scripture Explains Matters

Online Bible King James Version
Judah's Punishment

Setting The Scene

More Prophetic Utterances:   Among the many prophetic utterances set forth in Scripture, some are very obvious while others are not so obvious.

An example of the more obvious prophecies involves the existence of motor vehicles raging in the streets, running like the lightnings, whose lights at night are like fiery torches (Nahum 2:3-4).

However, the first motor vehicle did not originate until 1885 AD when a motorized tricycle was built by a pair of German engineers:   inventors Karl Friedrich Benz and Gottlieb Daimler.   Daimler invented the internal combustion engine and Benz adapted the Daimler engine to propel the first motor vehicle, a tricycle design.   The subsequent development of motor vehicles is now common knowledge and people worldwide drive and ride in them daily.

Thousands of years earlier the Biblical Book of Nahum described the then totally unknown motor vehicle to help identify "the day of His (GOD'S) preparation" (Nahum 2:3) wherein myriad events are unfolding including the taking of GOD'S Holy Ark captive in 1985 AD and its eventual release still pending (Nahum 2:7; Zechariah 5:4; 5:9-11; Ezekiel 12:3-7; Joshua 7:1-26).   This latter prophecy is among the many less obvious prophecies.

Nahum's Three Chapters deal with the three sequential kingdoms of the North: the Sixth, the Seventh, and the Eighth.   Chapter one refers to cutting off the dominion of the kingdoms of the North.   Chapter two refers to the transition from the Sixth to the Seventh Kingdom.   And, Chapter three refers to the life and demise of the Eighth Kingdom.

In addition to describing motor vehicles, preparation years, and the taking of GOD'S Holy Ark captive … Nahum (Chapter two) also describes profuse floods as "The gates (banks) of the rivers shall be opened…" (Nahum 2:6).

Chapter three foretells of continuing great tribulations for the disobedient, the Tares, described as "the great city of Nineveh."

The Book of Jonah, in turn, further explains Nahum as it foretells of Jonah's journey of 3 days (three millennial days) to Nineveh (Jonah 1:17; 3:3) and that after the third day Nineveh had turned from their evil ways and was spared (Jonah 3:10; 4:11).   But Jonah, who spent the three days in the belly of the whale (this world), was still experiencing afflictions (Jonah 4:5-8; Daniel 11:32-35; 12:6-7).   Now note that the Book of Jonah does not say what Nineveh was spared for even though the people of Nineveh still "… cannot discern between their right hand and their left hand…" (Jonah 4:11).   Nineveh, the Tares, will tithe to and serve the kingdom under Jesus (Isaiah 14:2; 49:23; 60:1-12).

Nineveh repents and is spared

Back To The Sixth Kingdom, Judah:   Jewry's world reign on the throne of the Sixth Kingdom officially extended from Solomon unto 1988 AD while visible elements still persist in 2001 AD.   And, as the Little Horn of Daniel 7:8,11,20-24, the throne over the land of the North will still be doing its thing unto the midst of the Eighth Millennium "… and in that day there shall be no more the Canaanite in the house of the LORD of hosts" (Zechariah 14:21).   That is, after the White Throne Judgment everyone will obey GOD'S righteous laws or suffer immediate afflictions.   The Tares will no longer be protected by Satan or other Tares.

If GOD'S Marriage Laws were applied to the Testimony the picture of the present takes on a whole different hue.   But let's look at some less obvious prophecy before applying GOD'S Marriage laws.

Setting The Scene:   Jeremiah (Chapter 21) speaks of the punishment of Judah (this world and the throne over the Sixth Kingdom).   Remember, the ancient prefigures the modern.   And since Scripture encompasses many subjects, events, and happenings we're about to jump right into the midst of the picture described by Jeremiah and others.   Those who wish to expand the picture to further help set the scene can readily do so by reading:

Jeremiah 17:describes the Shepherd's plea and the LORD'S response.
Jeremiah 18:

describes the promise, humanity's choice, and threats against Jeremiah (the Shepherd's) life.

Jeremiah 19:reiterates GOD'S threat to the disobedient.
Jeremiah 20:describes Jeremiah's lamentation and his derision by others.
Jeremiah 21:

details the punishment of Judah (this world and the throne over the Sixth Kingdom).

Jeremiah 22:

reiterates a warning to the "king of Judah," modern world leaders of the Sixth Kingdom.

Jeremiah 23:speaks of the Prophets and the Gathering of the Firstfruits.
Jeremiah 24:describes the good versus evil figs.
Jeremiah 25:

introduces Jeremiah's 70 years (1918-1988 AD Spring to Spring) also reiterated in Isaiah 23:15-18 and Zechariah 1:12. Note Daniel's 70 years are offset by 30 years (1948-2018 AD Spring to Spring) (Daniel 9:2,24-27).

After Jeremiah's 70 Years

Jeremiah 26:Jeremiah speaks and his foes still seek his death.
Jeremiah 27:

Man cannot escape the land of the North … not until the LORD brings them out.   Meanwhile, the Firstfruits are Satan's prisoners (Isaiah 14:17; 49:9; 61:1).

Jeremiah 28:

The changeover from the Sixth unto the Seventh Kingdom.   Hananiah lied so the LORD smote him.

Jeremiah 29:

The Plan includes the gathering after Jeremiah's 70 years (29:10-14).

Jeremiah 30:Jacob's restoration.

Jeremiah's 70 Years (Jeremiah 25:11-12; 29:10-14) apply both to an individual's life span (Psalm 90:10) and to a specific 70 year interval (1918-1988 AD Spring to Spring).

O.K., Judah's punishment did not begin until after Jeremiah's 70 years had ended.   Note: It was early 1985 when GOD'S Holy Arks were taken captive (Zechariah 5:4; Genesis 49:1,10; Nahum 2:7; Joshua 7:1-26; etc.).   Up until then Jewry's leaders could do nothing else to upset their worldwide reign.   Thus, when Jeremiah's 70th year had ended in the Spring of 1988 AD the sequence of events were quite clear.

The Embattled Children Of Solomon

Fighting GOD And Man:   So let's examine Jeremiah 21 as Jeremiah speaks to Judah's world ruler prefigured by Zedekiah, the final king (21:3).   "Thus saith the LORD GOD of Israel; Behold, I will turn back the weapons of war that are in your hands…" and the LORD will assemble their enemies "into the midst of this city.   And I (the LORD) Myself will fight against you … even in anger, and in fury, and in great wrath.   And I will smite the inhabitants of this city, both man and beast: they shall die of a great pestilence" (21:4-6).

Jeremiah goes on to say that the LORD would deliver them out of the normal trials and tribulations and "… into the hand of Nebuchadnezzar King of Babylon (Satan), and into the hand of their enemies, and into the hand of those that seek their life:   and he shall smite them with the edge of the sword; he shall not spare them, neither have pity, nor have mercy" (21:7).

The Option Forsaken:   Jeremiah is told to reiterate "… Thus, saith the LORD; Behold, I set before you the way of life, and the way of death" (21:8).   And the Ten Commandments are an excellent gauge including:   "Thou shalt not kill … Thou shalt not steal.   Thou shalt not bear false witness (which includes making false claims) against thy neighbor.   Thou shalt not covet thy neighbor's house, thou shalt not covet thy neighbor's wife (David's problem), nor his manservant, nor his maidservant, nor his ox, nor his ass, nor anything that is thy neighbor's (including his land and his freedom)" (Exodus 20:13-17; see 20:1-17. Also review Jeremiah 22:1-9).

So, anyone who flagrantly violates GOD'S Ten Commandments even while professing to be Israel has an unwanted surprise coming!

          Jeremiah Explains:

"He that abideth in this city shall die by the sword, and by the famine, and by the pestilence:   but he that goeth out, and falleth (surrenders to become a slave) to the Chaldeans (the enemy) that besiege you, he shall live, and his life shall be unto him for a prey."

Jeremiah 21:9

What a predicament!   Stay and fight against GOD and the enemy or surrender to become your enemy's slave.   But, is it really that bad if Judah surrenders … the Firstfruits enter the Congregation on Atonement Year.   The alternative is the sword, famine, pestilence, and a sure death. Jeremiah continues:

"For I (GOD) have set My Face against this city (Jerusalem is called the bloody city:   Nahum 3:1,7; 1:1; Ezekiel 9:8-9) for evil, and not for good, saith the LORD:   it shall be given into the hand of the King of Babylon (Satan), and he shall burn it with fire (great tribulations)."

Jeremiah 21:10

Note:   There are two Jerusalems mentioned in Scripture:   (1) A city of more righteous people spread worldwide; and, (2) The bloody city in the Middle East.

          But, Today, Who Believes?

"Behold, I (GOD) am against thee, O inhabitant of the valley, and rock of the plain, saith the LORD; which say, Who shall come down against us?   or who shall enter into our habitations?"

Jeremiah 21:13

Thus, isn't this the same "who can touch us" attitude that existed back when Nebuchadnezzar was made king and returned to completely overcome preExilic Jerusalem West of the Hinnom (Jeremiah 19:2 KJV)?

"But I (GOD) will punish you according to the fruit of your doings, saith the LORD: and I will kindle a fire (great tumult) in the forest (amongst the people) thereof, and it shall devour all things round about it."

Jeremiah 21:14

The Admonition:   Jeremiah 22 instructed the King of Judah (Jewry's leaders) how to treat their subjects but history says they chose not to treat them righteously (See Jeremiah 22:1-9).   And Jeremiah 25 speaks of great tribulations to commence after Jeremiah's 70 years ended in 1988 AD.

Remember, the true believer will acquire "a ticket" and get on board early … before that train, ship, or aircraft departs rather than waiting until after they see it depart.
