It was almost the end of the show, and it was next to midnight. Candy's eyes grew heavy, as Samantha and Elisa's eyes grew lighter by the minute.
Brian stood up with the microphone in his hand. "Last song of the show, last hour of the day. We'd like to thank all of you for being a wonderful audience. Wow, a shooting star, look at that. Romance is definitely in the air, and I'm missing out. I have a story to tell before we end the show. My girlfriend, Candy, and I broke up not long ago." Candy perked up, lifted her head from the table and paid attention to what Brian had to say. "It was a really silly fight, a horrible way to end our relationship. Very meaningless. Candy meant everything to me. I've never met anyone like her. She taught me so much in the time we've been together. She had and still has a special place in my heart, and I want to apologize to her tonight for letting her go. I still love you Candy," he said looking at her. "I'd do anything for one more chance 'cause I want you back. For the rest of you, when you've got something special, never let it go. You don't know what you've got 'til it's gone. Well, Candy, this last song is for you." He lowered the mic, and went back to his seat between AJ and Kevin. He beamed at Candy who was almost in tears.
"Oh my God," Elisa sniffled. "That is the sweetest thing ever. I wish Nick could be like that."
"Did it ever occur to you you'd have to break up for that to happen?" Samantha said practically.
Candy was too struck to even hear what her cousins were saying. She was in a place beyond paradise. She was in bliss...in ecstasy. It was heaven on earth. She finally felt fulfilled. Everything was going right, and she didn't know what to do as eyes turned to her and Brian's words drowned her ears.
"I played around girl and I made you cry
When I looked up you were saying goodbye
I'm begging you please, I need you so bad
Don't leave me now, you're the best that I'll have
I'll never, I'll never find someone like you
I promise its true no I'll never,
I'll never find someone like you
Cause I love the way that you are
And girl I won't go, I won't let you go
Cause no one could ever do
Love you like I love you..."
AJ stood up and walked to the front of the stage, gazing at Samantha and directing the words he sang to her. "All I had was just my heart and my feelings I give to you
That's all that I can do girl, baby forever."
Joining AJ, Brian got back up to the front and sang his part. "Oh you don't know that you're hurting me cause its not just a sexual thing, I wanna share my dreams baby together."
"Girl I'm afraid just to give you the fun
My heart's tellin' me to hold on to my love
But when you get close, I want you to know
I start to get weak and I can't let you go," Nick sang from his seat, rocking the microphone stand back and forth as he held the last note.
Elisa clasped her hands together. "He is so fine. He is mine tonight."
"Ooooh girl! You got it bad!" Samantha piped.
"It's about time you noticed," Candy spoke in a monotone without taking her eyes off Brian.
"No one could ever do
Love you like I love you...
Just your smile
Tenderness...
Girl I won't let you down
Girl I will never find no one that compares to you
I'll never, I'll never find someone like you
I promise its true no I'll never,
I'll never find someone like you
Cause I love the way that you are
And girl I won't go, I won't let you go." Brian grinned at AJ. Candy was clearly going to forgive him. After they sang the chorus one more time, Brian stepped off the stage and walked over to Candy. He kneeled down in front of her and took her hand in his as he ended the song, "cause no one could ever do, I'll never find someone like ... you."
Candy's dark blue eyes never left his and the audience applauded at the guys' outstanding performance and in sympathy that things are working out for Brian. People got up to leave, heading back to their hotel. Some went to the restaurants and discos nearby while others stayed behind hoping for a chance to chat with the boys. When it was silent and Brian was still waiting for an answer from Candy, he asked, "So, am I forgiven?"
Candy answered him with a long, passionate kiss. "I'm assuming that's a 'yes,'" he smirked.
"You're damn right," she said in a whisper. "It was the hardest thing I ever did to let you go like that." she said softly.
Meanwhile Elisa ran up on stage to greet Nick, and AJ joined Samantha, Candy, and Brian at the table. "I told you you'd like the show," he said to Candy.
"I told you you'd do fine without your glasses," she replied handing them back to him.
"I knew you looked different AJ," Brian recognized.
"Well, I truly am glad you two are back together and happy again."
"Me too," Samantha mouthed.
"Why, thank you. So are we. Right, Candy?"
"Right on."
"So, are we still on for the Buddha Bar? I mean the girls are looking fine tonight. We can't just go back to the hotel, we gotta celebrate," AJ told Brian.
"Girls?" Brian offered.
"Why not? You guys are looking pretty fly yourselves," Candy answered. The guys were all wearing black suits which were very similar to their outfits in their second video for "I'll Never Break Your Heart."
Brian smiled slyly. "Then Buddha Bar it is."
