"That was hilarious! You were like scared to death! You didn't want to look down and you were avoiding looking at me so you were kinda just staring straight ahead. It was so funny!" Candy laughed.
They were seated in a booth at the Buddha Bar waiting for their orders to arrive except for Kevin and Howie who had decided to stay at the hotel. Brian and Candy were reliving the most horrible few minutes (which seemed like days) on the chair lift.
"You guys, I hate to say this but can we please change the topic of conversation?" AJ spoke. Their discussion has been dragging along while the rest of them just sat there, spacing out.
"Yeah!" Samantha agreed.
"So, you wanna talk about sex, AJ?" Brian teased.
"Oh yeah!" AJ joked just when Samantha and Candy broke into a chorus of "Let's talk about sex, baby! Let's talk about you and me!"
Sensitive to the subject, Elisa said, "No, let's not."
"And to think, she's going out with Nick...and she doesn't wanna talk about sex!" AJ shook his head in disbelief.
"Are you saying I'm perverted?" Nick asked.
"You said it, not me!" AJ answered, and Samantha gave a little laugh.
"Anyway..." Brian attempted to change the subject.
"Look, it's Pamela Anderson!" AJ lied, wondering what Brian's reaction would be.
"Oh, don't even start!" Samantha yelled at AJ.
Brian didn't so much as blink. He put his arm around Candy who was sitting right next to him. "Guess what AJ. I don't give a shit!" Brian smiled.
"Dammit! You're no fun," AJ laughed.
"I'm sorry Boner. So, you want fun, eh? Why don't you tell Samantha what happened today while we were going to the show?" Nick and Brian burst into laughter.
"Tell me! Tell me! Tell me!" Samantha begged.
"It wasn't funny! It hurt!" AJ said.
"Oh, poor baby. Well, what was it?" Samantha asked.
"Go ahead, AJ. Tell Sam how that kid beat the crap out of you."
"He didn't but this is what really happened. This kid...like a three-year old... shows up from nowhere and he runs up to me. He was like saying something I didn't understand and then all of a sudden he grabbed my thing...and wouldn't let go!" The girls were laughing hysterically.
"AJ, your thing?!" Brian laughed.
"Yes my thing, B! Where the sun don't shine. And as if that wasn't enough...when I tried getting him away from me, I tripped on him and hit my head on the wall," AJ continued, and they laughed harder.
"God, AJ...you're hilarious!" Elisa remarked once she caught her breath.
"No, it's just AJ...not God," AJ smiled.
Just then the waiter arrived with their orders. "Bon appetit," he said when he was done placing them on the table, and turned away.
"Bon appetit!" AJ repeated digging into the food.
