In the back booth at the left corner of the restaurant Candy, Samantha, and Kevin sat facing Brian, AJ, and Howie respectively. Nick and Elisa offered to sit together at a nearby table for two. AJ took a huge bite out of his Double Decker Cheese, and Samantha couldn't help bursting into laughter as AJ tried to keep all the food in his mouth. Candy looked over at AJ and started to laugh before saying, "Hey! You're choking him!"
"I'm not choking him! He's choking himself!" Samantha snapped while trying to catch her breath.
Brian shook his head and patted AJ on the back. "How many times do I have to tell you, AJ? It's just a burger...you know, just like the one you had today morning for breakfast, and last night for dinner, and before that..."
Finally swallowing all the food in his mouth, AJ grabbed a napkin in front of him and wiped his mouth. "You know how I feel about Double Decker Cheese, Bri."
"Ooooh! Okay, here's a joke for you guys!"
Candy's eyes lit up and her face brightened. She loved Brian's silly jokes, and she set her burger down on the tray to avoid choking with laughter. "Shoot."
"How did Dairy Queen get pregnant?"
AJ and Howie rolled their eyes. They've heard this one a million times. "Oh I know. I know," AJ said unenthusiastically.
"Don't say the answer!" Brian yelled. "Take another bite out of your burger, Boner," he joked.
"You got me," Candy replied still in thought, trying to figure out the answer.
"How?" Samantha gave up.
"Burger King showed her his Whop-per," Brian said and sipped his Coke as Candy, Samantha, and Kevin laughed hysterically.
"That wasn't funny," Samantha disputed.
"Then why you laughing?" he indicated.
"It's so cheesy, it's funny!"
"What are you guys laughing about?" Nick asked from the other table.
Samantha started to laugh harder. "Why are you laughing now?!" Candy wondered.
"Nick finally looks away from Elisa...what are you guys laughing about?" Samantha tried to speak in between gasps for air and more laughter. Candy joined her.
"It's the Dairy Queen-Burger King joke," Kevin answered a confused Nick.
"Oh God!" Nick grinned turning back to Elisa.
"What's that?" Elisa questioned, and Nick repeated the joke to her.
"Brian!" AJ screamed.
Startled, Brian responded, "What?"
"Look what you did to my poor girl! She's gonna die any second now!"
"Hey!" Samantha cried out, offended as she began to quiet down.
Once silence pervaded their table, Brian broke it, "Seconds, anyone?"
