//chapter four

"Alexia, hey wait up" Alexia heard this and immediately turned, though the person she found behind her was someone she liked it made her uneasy "so should I take out the restraining order now or would you like to stalk me a little longer" she smiled at the image in front of her. a good looking man, wearing a pair of kakai cargo pants and a blue tee shirt and sunglasses "what, why would you do that" nick answered as he lifted his sunglasses showing his deep blue eyes that could mend any broken heart 'but also break it' Alexia thought to her self "well I've been here in Florida for two weeks now and I seen more of you than I've seen Cat" Alexia said as she whipped a little sweat of her forehead "well I like to fight for what I want" he said smiling "and that would be" she asked as she folded her arms in front of her "well that's easy, you, I want to go out with you" "aren't we out" she laughed and then looked away "al, I know someone hurt you and I cant change that, but at least give me the chance to prove to you that I can make you forget, even if its just for an hour or two" he said gently as he moved her face with the back of his hand making her look him "so I take that smile as a yes" he said smiling back at her "well that depends" she said as she looked down at what she was wearing 'great I get asked out by a hot guy while I am wearing a pair of black Adidas pants and a white tee, god and my hair' she thought to herself as she twirled the end of her ponytail " on what" nick asked getting a little intrigued "if your up for a challenge" she smiled slyly "sure, so what is the challenge" "give me your keys" she said this as she put her hand out. he placed the keys on her hand she smiled "see you at the hotel" she yelled this as she took of in the opposite direction in which she was heading earlier "oh no you don't" he yelled out loud as he took of behind her. "so you cant run, I like you already" Alexia said as she walked into the cooled lobby of the hotel with nick by her side gasping for breath. she saw him head for the chairs as she walked towards the front desk "miss Fernandez, how are you this morning" the concierge greeted Alexia as soon as he saw her "very good thank you, do I have any messages or packages" she said as she pushed a strand of hair behind her ear "actually yes, here are your messages directed to your password and here are your packages" the man handed he a large pack of envelops two small boxes and numerous pieces of paper " oh miss" he said as she headed back to nick "yes" she said as she spun around to face him once again "your other package is in your room" "what other package" she asked curiously "your breathing and slobbering package miss, its being watch now" he said as Alexia felt a hand on her shoulder "you don't have a baby do you" nick whispered in her ear " a baby me, no its Sassi, my dog oh my god Leo shipped her !" she belched out as she stormed to the elevator "hey wait up" nick yelled as he followed her "my, my what a lovely couple they make" the concierge said out loud to himself .

Alexia walked out of the elevator as though she was being chased by a mass murder or something "hey you, energizer wait up" nick yelled as he walked out of the elevator, but Alexia paid no attention to him she walked to her door and stuck in her access card and opened the door. as nick got to the door caring all of Alexia's mail he saw the most beautiful golden retriever he had ever seen "wow" he said as he slowly walked in "oh sorry about that its just that I missed her so much " she said as she petted Sassi continuously "its OK, hey about the date do want to have breakfast" he asked gently lowering his head "I don't do break fast" she said sounding a little snotty making nick feel as if someone had taken a spoon and removed his heart with it and taring it in many pieces "oh OK" "I'd say yes to brunch though" she said smiling. nick looked up and smiled back "brunch is more me, not to early, its not breakfast but its not lunch its just .....brunch " she laughed lightly . "sure I'd love to have brunch with you" nick said as he got close to her, just then the golden retriever barked at him "she knows you like me " Alexia said as she saw the fear in nicks eyes "I have one at home and he has never growled or barked at any one" he said staring at the dog as he took a step back "she also knows I like you" she said getting up "you .... like... me" nick stuttered "why, just because I am 'Alexia' doesn't mean I cant like a guy who just happens to be good looking, cute, sweet, funny, .... and sexy" she smiled as her eyes met nick's "you think I am sexy" he said as he got closer this time ignoring the bark from Sassi "I was 16 when you were the 'thing', I mean millennium" she smiled slyly as she felt his arm graze her side as he puled her a little closer "so we could say you have a crush on me" nick said as he smiled noticing her tense body "no, we could say I had a crush on 'nick' from the bsb, and now I have a thing for nick, they guy who I work with, and we could also say you have a crush on super star Alexia, right" she said as she tried to push the incompatible feeling away "no I have a crush on the girl who wears no makeup when she exercise, the girl who plays games with my mind, and the girl who lets me hold her" he said looking through all her massacred "wow, that's a lot of girls" she laughed lightly "you are more beautiful than I ever imagined, you not only carry your beauty in the outside but you carry one that is more incredible and powerful inside" he said as he pushed a strand of hair behind her ear "how do you know that, you don't even know me" "I know what I see" "and what do you see" "a girl who wants to be loved and love back with the same intensity, a girl who can do anything, a girl that can change the way people think just by a comment, a girl who would do anything for a friend, a girl who is aching, a girl..." "a girl who was created by a corporation, a mirage of the perfect girl, a fake, that is what you see" Alexia said as she puled away from nick as she raised her tone of voice "you meet me, and you say sweet things to me and you think ' wow a new lay' well you thought wrong nick all my life I craved for something and I am finally getting there and just because you think 'oh actress, easy Catch' then you should do some reaserch cause this girl does not fall for line or cute ways" she said as anger came over her "I was.." nick started to stutter "giving yourself points" she said as she walked and sat an the bed. "Alexia, I like you, I like you a lot, I wont diney it, but I am not like that guy, he hurt you" "no I hurt him" she said as a tear fell down her cheek. nick faces was written with confusion all over it "his name was matt, I loved him and then suddenly everything I felt for him turned to zilch, he was more of a friend, than the 'one', and when I told him what I felt I was brutally honest, I didn't even try to be nice, i broke his heart and then..." she started crying harder. nick put his arm around her and just held her. "thank you" Alexia said after crying non stop for about ten minutes "its OK, its not good to keep everything to your self" he said as he stroked her hair lightly "I think you should leave" "I know" he smiled back "call me in an hour OK, well do something" she smiled as she stud up "sure" he said as he walked passed her and kissed her cheek "hey nick" she said before he shut the door "yeah" "I 'm sorry, for the way I acted with you, I mean you didn't do anything and I just" she started but was interrupted "love is never to say your sorry" nick smiled back at her from the door "love story" she said as she smiled "you never know it could happen" "what" Alexia asked still smiling "you and me" nick said just right before he walked outside.

Alexia walked out of the bathroom with a white robe around her damp body. "what the hell" Alexia said out loud as she found nick on the floor playing nintendo with a brunet. suddenly the girl turned and smiled. "oh my god, Cat what are you doing here" Alexia said as she hugged her best friend, forgetting that nick was still in the room "that is the thanks I get for diving three hours strait" shy said teasingly "you live fifteen minutes from here....... you know what I mean "she said lightly laughing "yeah I know what you mean" Cat smile back "so how did you get in" Alexia asked "well I was walking down the hall and as I got to your door I saw this guy come out of it with a large smile" she said pointing at nick how had stopped playing nintendo "we started talking, the door was not well shut so we came in while you took a long, I mean long bath" Cat said sarcasticly. "can I borrow your phone, its cause I told a lovely lady I would call her in an hour and seeing that its actually been an hour and a half I think I should call her" he said smiling intensely at Alexia "do you guys want me to leave" Cat asked jokingly. Alexia snarled at Cat "well I really should go now, its been a pleasure meeting you Catherine, sorry Cat, and I'll see you tonight" he said pointing his finger at Alexia "tonight???" confusion over took Alexia's face "yeah tonight you promised you would go out with me, and a promise is a promise" he smiled as he walked towards the door "it was nice beating you" Cat yelled at nick "I think your confused, I won" he smiled slyly at the two girls "lire" she whispered "see you at eight" nick said as he walked out the door. Alexia sighed "some one is about to fall in love" Cat said teasingly "what???" Alexia looked at her best friend "your are falling heads over heels for him, and don't tell me your not cause I know you better than you know yourself, that is why I am your best friend " Cat said as she walked out to the terrace "so were is Sassi" Alexia asked as she quickly changed into a white tee and a pair of kakai shorts "she needed a walk, so I called front desk " Cat replied from outside. Alexia walked out side to join Cat "so why are you here, really" Alexia said as she leaned on the railing "I broke up with jack and I know what is coming 'but why you were so in love' but I think it was just me the one who was in love" she said as she looked at the senery, the Atlantic ocean, a beautiful beach and blue sky "he cheated on you?" Alexia asked lightly "with Ann, my secretary, I mean he could of been more discrete, and in my bed, my fucking bed" she said as she hugged Alexia and started crying. "i'm sorry" Alexia whispered as she stroked her hair trying to calm her down.

//chapter five

"hey Kevin, do you know were nick is "Alexia asked "sorry no can do" he answered from the other side of the line "did you try his cell" "I don't have that number" Alexia said sounding a little disappointed "do you have something to write with ..... OK the number is 52...." "thanks kev" "bye ale" with that said Alexia cut the call and started dialing the number "come on nick answer" she said out loud "hello" a voice that she had grown to like answered hey b is nick there" Alexia asked "sure just hold on I'll get him " Brian said gently "yeah" a voice said softly "hey nick" "ale, hey are we still on for tonight" he asked a little nervous "nick, I really don't want to do this to you but Cat just" "found out that her boyfriend was cheating on her " " how the hell did you know that " Alexia asked "well I did spend an hour half with her and for some reason girls like to tell me things " "oh, I see, well I .... I think I should stay with her" "nope your not "nick said sternly "what do you mean 'no I am not' " she asked a little pissed "cause she is coming with us, well you, me and the guys" he said gently "I invited her earlier" he continued "thanks, well I should start getting dressed then, bye " she said smiling to her self "see you at eight" he said gently.

"what is up with women and taking ages to get dressed, when you say eight, you mean eight not" Howie paused as he looked at his watch "8:20" "you, chill man they are girls, and hey it took you two hors to get ready, and Alexia was going to cancel about 6:30, so that gave her half an hour less than you" Aj teased, making all the men laugh. suddenly nick felt a light tap on his shoulder, immediately he turned and smiled at the image behind him. a medium hight brunet, she was about 5'5 but since she was wearing heels she was about 5'7, she was wearing a tight black skirt, with a blue tank top, her makeup was simple but it accented her big brown eyes "Cat, wow you look great" nick said as he hugged her gently, "thanks you don't look so bad yourself" she smiled devishly "so are you going to introduce me or what" she continued as she saw the look of amazement in the other men "oh yeah sorry, this is b-rok" "hey" he said smiling back "Kevin and bone" "yo, waz up" "hey "they answered at the same time making Cat laugh lightly "and that would be Howie d" nick said pointing at the guy who for some reason looked very nervous "hey" he answered as he looked up at her "and you guys this is cat, alexia's best friend" "hi " cat answered getting a little nervous ' what would I have given to be in this position, when I was fifteen' she said to herself "so gorgeous, do you have someone that keeps your bed warm at night" Aj said as he looked cat up and down making her blush. as nick heard him, he gave Aj the 'look' cat took a deep breath and smiled "actually, I don't " as she said this nick gave her a reassuring smile that made her feel a little better "now this is definitely a sin, I mean a fine girl like yourself, excuse the expression, and then a goddess like alexia single, man what has the world come to" Aj said as he walked closer to cat making her a little nervous "did I here my name" alexia said from behind making everyone turn around "wow" was said in chorus by all the men making cat and alexia laugh. the perfect figure of a woman walked to the group of men. she was wearing a light green tub top, with a short black skirt, her hair was let down softly, and this time her eyes looked more green than blue she was wearing strapy black sandals, she seemed as she danced across the whit marble floor "hey" she smiled as she put her hand on nick's back. though his reaction was slow he gently put his arm around her tiny waist "man, are you small" he exclaimed making her laugh "shall we leave" Kevin said as he put his arm out for cat "sorry man this babe is mine" Aj interrupted as he grabbed cats arm gently making her blush

"so are Sam, Anna, and Leigh coming" alexia asked as they reached the door "well I don't know about leigh but Sam and Anna are coming, Leigh said she didn't feel good" Brian said in a some what sad tone of voice "not them again" alexia belched out as she saw the massive crowd of reporter waiting outside of the hotel "don't worry I'm here to protect you" nick whispered in alexia ear so gently giving her goosebumps. as they walked out they were attacked by the reporters "alexia are you dating nick" "have you forgiven matt Damon yet" "are you going to be working with the bsb" "are you going to move to Florida" "are you still in love with Leonardo" "are you pregnant with matt damon's child" some of the reporters belched out as flashes of light and microphones were shoved into alexia's face. stopping abruptly making the whole crowed of reporters be quiet alexia said in a low and gentle voice "for starters I can do with my personal life what ever I want, and yes I am dating nick Carter" she said as she linked her arm tightly around his as she continued walking down the stairs into nick's black camero

"so did you really mean it" nick asked as alexia looked through CD cases that were in the glove compartment "what that cat should go with Kevin and Aj, sure I meant it" she laughed lightly "no, what you said back at the hotel about you and me? " he said looking strait on to the highway not even looking at her "well..... of coarse I did, why would I say it if it weren't true" she said looking at the side of his face "god your cute" she said laughing lightly as she put in a CD

"so how long have you known alexia" Kevin asked cat who was staring out the window "I knew her when she was a size 12, and here name was still Alejandra, freshman in high school" she smiled back at memories flashed back through her mind "you mean she wasn't always like this" Aj asked stunned in the back of the corvette "yeah, she was not anatomically perfect, but she was the greatest friend anyone could have, she was always there for anyone, no matter what" "wow, so you were best friends from the first moment" Kevin asked interested "no, actually I couldn't stand her and vice versa, she was popular and I, well tried to be the opposite, to think a stupid bunny brought us together" she laughed lightly at the memory "what a bunny?" Kevin asked confused as he turned on the radio "yeah, a bunny, at boarding school I missed my cats, and no one of my friend would buy it with me, so I heard she liked animals and I asked her, and we got a bunny and after that I saw that she was not as bad as I thought she was and we be came best friends. she knew what I was going through and she supported me 100 % no matter what the consequence, she almost got kicked out of school because she defended me" she said as she played with a strand of hair "wow, she did that for you, talk about friends coming first" Aj said as he sat back in the chair "so how long did it take her to say yes to nick" she asked changing the subject "well actually, we met two weeks ago and he made his move a couple of days after that" Aj said remembering the elevator and smiling slyly to himself "wow a week and a half, that is record time" cat said stunned "what do you mean" Kevin asked taking his eye of the road "well, alexia has this commitment issue, after dean died she does not say yes to a first date at least after four weeks" "four weeks " Aj said impressed and stunned "yeah and she still gets the hottest guys in the world, well its actually a fear of commitment and a fear of being used, I mean lets say john doe starts dating alexia, john doe is the new big thing, he gets paid a small fortune just because he was seen with her, so she is afraid of people using her to pump up their careers" cat said as she looked back at Aj, who let out a small sigh "Brian should take some advice from her" Aj said lightly "why would you say that" cat asked intrigued "well Leigh, is not ...... he deserves better, lets just leave it at that" Kevin said looking out on the road "she's using him" cat said gently "why is there people tat do that I mean don't they know it hurts" cat said as she saw the expression on Aj face through the mirror

"come on baby please come it will be fun, I mean you can meet alexia" Brian said trying to convince leigh "Brian, why would I want to meet a person who I practically detest she is most annoying thing in the world" she barked back from the other side of the phone line "please we can have a romantic dinner go dancing and then take a walk on the beach, it will be fun, we haven't done something like this in ages" "it will be the usual, you ignoring me at dinner, flirting with other girls at the club and you know I hate the beach" she said sounding snotty "OK then I'll see you later, bye honey" "good bye Brian" "I love you " "OK bye" she said just before he hang up the phone. 'I think I should suprize her she used to love suprizes' Brian thought to him self. he quickly dialed nick's cell phone "yo" the male voice answered "hey man it me Brian, I'll be a little late I am going for Leigh k see ya later bro" he said gently sounding cheery for some reason "sure see ya at the restaurant, peace"

"peace?" alexia asked strangely as the car started to slow down "what ?" nick said as he smiled widely "forget it" she said giggling lightly. the car stopped in a semi empty parking lot "nick where are we" alexia asked as she started to get nervous. but he was already out of the car "it's a suprize" he grinned as he opened the passenger door and put his arm out to help alexia out. letting the breeze hit her face lightly she smiled "god you are beautiful" nick whispered lightly to alexia.

as Brian was about to put the key in the door suddenly opened and in front of him was and image of a blonde girl with five suit cases shocked to see him "Leigh, were are you ... I mean what are the luggages for" Brian said feeling his heart break into many pieces "I am leaving, I cant take being number two in your life" she said as she picked up on piece of luggage "what do you mean two" he said getting a little angry now "yeah first comes your career, your friends, and your freaky obsession with that stupid barbie" she said as she rolled her eyes "I always put you first, I took the break to produce your album" "oh so now your blaming me for spending time on my album, you could have said no" "I should of a long time ago" he said as he walked in "what do you mean by that" she yelled at him "I mean we have been over for a long time now, I tried god knows I tried, but the only problem was you never loved me, you love everything I could give you" he said sitting on the couch "fuck you" "been there, done that" he said pissed off "I'll find some way to make you pay asshole, you haven't seen the last of me" "I think it would of been beter if I had gone to the resterraunt" he said as he let his head fall into his hands "yo babe" a male voice came from out side the door that was still open "is this all" the voice was heard again "yeah Mick, so long Brian" she said with a coky tone "funny how I always get what I want" she finished as she turned and followed the tall, large built man out the door "some day you will lose" he yelled back "yeah right" she laughed. Brian fell to the floor "why me , why me , I loved her, I really did" he said as s tear fell down his cheek.

//chapter six

"so far how am I doing" nick whispered lightly in alexia's ear "well..., you have a nice approach, you invite your friends and mine so it wont be anything formal but yet you still manage to flirt constantly with me. and you move your chair once in a while closer to mine so in a scale of 1 to 10 I would say you have a 7" alexia smiled mischivieouly knowing that would that comment would mess with his head "a mediocre seven, I at least deserve an eight I mean I know I for got the flowers, but I showed you the best sunset you have ever seen earlier, right and I have a nice resteraunt thing going on and I have three more things" with this comment nick made alexia laugh "you're the sensitive kind aren't ya" she said as she caressed his jaw line carefully with her finger, making him smile "so tell me what is the other thing you have planned for tonight, besides the dancing and the walk on the beach" she smiled knowing that was any guy's routine "who told you about the dancing" he pouted lightly "it is obvious, your a guy, a famous celebrity, and I also read magazine articles" she smiled "what???" nick asked very confused "your idle date would be with a pretty girl, a beach, and where there night takes you, right" she said as she took a sip of her margarita "how do you know that" nick said as he once again pulled his chair closer to alexia "well, for starters I had to keep myself busily the other day so I dough up all of you guys bios, I even went to some fan sites and read pretty interesting stuff" she laughed as nick's face went pail "and, I also was once 15" she whispered lightly in his ear "so you were a die hard fan" he grinned "no, just a fan, funny where life takes you once a fan now a member" alexia paused as she saw the figure of a slouched and very sadden man "Brian, wha....what's wrong" she said as she got up from her chair and walked towards him, nick flowed her "man, what happened" nick asked getting a gut felling it was over leigh "we broke up" he answered dimly "oh, b I am sorry, do you want to talk about it" alexia said as she hugged him "she used me, she never cared" he said as he held her tighter "wow I should break up with my girlfriends more often" he joked trying to kill the hurtful feeling "brian" she said as she punched him lightly "OK, OK I am sorry, lets eat I am hungry" Brian said as he put his hand around alexia's waist making nick a little uncomfortable.

-at a table- "so what you think of those two" Aj asked cat pointing at nick and alexia who where dancing very close to a ballad "well, for some reason ale is not taking her times which means one of two things" she answered taping her nails on the table "ad that would be" Brian asked sounding interested "well alexia is a snail usually inn the dating race but for some reason she isn't taking her time" "two weeks isn't slow" Brian asked "well it usually takes about four to five weeks for her to say yes to the first date, she like to make sure they want to date her for her not for alexia, but any ways reason one is she isn't that interested and she wants nick to realize it is not going to work but still keep him as a friend or she really does like him and doesn't care about the being used issue" she said looking at alexia who looked like she was having a great time "I just hope she knows what she is doing" cat sighed "why do you worry about her so much, I know your friends and all " Aj asked "she just been hurt to many times and she does not deserve it, I mean she gave up a guy for someone, she was really in love with, she is just to nice for the Hollywood world yet she always finds a way to make her self happy later on, but still it kills me to see her in pain, she pushed me to do the unthinkable become independent, survey and , well I just want to be there for her, cause she would definitely be there for me" "she means that much to you" Brian asked, Aj smiled knowing the answer to the question "she showed me what true friendship is and was there for me when I needed her so now its my turn" she smiled back at Brian who was now looking at the image of his perfect woman alexia 'god, how I wish it would have been me' he thought to himself . "so I seen that not only are you smart, beautiful, witty, funny, can run like the wind and make millions of dollars you can also dance" nick said slightly raising his voice "what" alexia yelled back joking "I said...""no, I was kidding, why is it that every five minutes you compliment me" she yelled back "I don't compliment I speak the truth" he smiled "yeah right" she said "can I kiss you" he said in a normal tone of voice "what" alexia asked not hearing him this time. with no hesitation nick got closer to alexia grabbing her gently and moving his face closer to her so that he could kiss her. alexia immediately moved back feeling embraced and uncomfortable "alexia I .... am sorry" nick said looking at the floor "no I am sorry I mean, you have been nothing but nice to me and I.... just I cant I am sorry I cant trust guys just yet " with this said alexia walked towards the exit "alexia wait" nick yelled as he ran behind her.

"god why cant I just be happy for once" alexia said out loud as she started crying "alexia" nick said faintly as he tried to catch his breath "nick, please I need to be alone, I have to think about what I want" she said as she walked away "alexia, life isn't perfect, there are good and bad times but that makes life a little more exciting, I try god knows I tried, I just don't understand you your cold one minuet than hot the next WHAT THE HELL DO YOU WANT " he yelled as she turned away "you" she whispered to her self "I want you too" he said as he pulled her close suprizing her. alexia was more supriezed that he had heard her "alexia, I cant play this game I just cant, I am here with my heart in my hand hoping you will take it and take care of it not play catch with it throw it away some time and other keep it" "I am sorry, but I just don't know" "let me take you home" he said as he gave the vale his ticket

during the car drive no one said a word. alexia just taped her nails on the car door looking out the window, while nick was looking at the road ahead, once in a while he would look at her but immediately turn back to the road. as they arrived to the entrance alexia's mind was spinning 'I like him, but what if it all turns out to be a game, or like matt, and then there is ' alexia's thought was interrupted by the door opening "goodnight miss" the valet man said as he put out his hand. "so you still want to have that walk" alexia said looking back at nick. he smiled and quickly got out of the car
