unimportant as I am
a little piece in a master plan
would you miss me if I go far away
where lilies bloom and life exists under a silver sky
where rain falls but never touches a soul
would you pine for me if I leave you now
do you care, or am I there to pacify your ego,
make you feel secure,
how much do you really care
am I beautiful to you like a star in the night sky,
or do I just exist like a gray cloud over your shoulder
unimportant unspectacular unnoticed
someone to pass the time in between the things that are important
someone to watch as you leave me for someone more beautiful than I
more intelligent
more lovely
more everything
