In all the places dreams fear to tread
who thought my dreams would come to an end
like the edge of a canyon overlying the sea
miles of blue sky between the sand clouds and beach
wind drives the force of a push just over the edge
falling harder as I drop down past a ledge
like dust in the wind, dreams take me somewhere
far from my life, far from my care
from a place filled with truth laced with sorrow and tears
dream a sweet dream, you'll have nothing to fear
you'll be closer to me then any tear or sorrow
knowing the next time I see you is no sooner then tomorrow
I go to sleep so fast it's as if I were dead
we could celebrate my dreams but why jump ahead?
don't you want a sunset beside you
her face staring at you and wanting to guide you?
there's a whole lot of dreams to take my place
like a coin in the dust I disappear from this place.
