For Rob

Porcelain

A breath of fresh air
proposed into my broken soul
I feel you tonight, forever now.

Shattered as you are
I dare to love you still
delicate and pale.

To look into your eyes; almost a sin
the sweetest if indulgence
beautiful, porcelain.

The ray of darkened sunshine
that reaches and touches my life,
the light from the farthest star
on the mistiest night,
when you speak,
there are no lies.

To look into your eyes, feel your pain
the sweetest, heartfelt rain
beautiful, porcelain.

Those glass tears you cry
I hope one day run dry,
only to me, I see you
you're beautiful
to me, you're porcelain.

Suffer Your Blessid Heart No More

There's a curl that begs to be touched
and your forehead that needs to be kissed.
Your eyes that carry such beauty
your eyelids that I would trace so gently with my fingertips.
Your lips speak of words so true
to soothe scores of torn souls.
Your hands seem to have a firm grip
on hearts everywhere.

You look so sad sometimes
and I wonder what brings you down.
You seem to carry the weight of the world
upon your bruised conscience.
You pull back from love
and shield yourself with the tear upon your pale cheek.
Your hand hides inside a sleeve
and you hope for the pain to be relieved.

Such a lingering ache
hanging in the air when you wake.
Look into my eyes
and understand that I care;
be free of the hurt
and let your soul mend it's shattered end.
There will be tomorrow
and I'll be there for you my friend.
