It is the mission of Rabbit Rescue, Inc.:
- to foster abandoned, neglected, abused, ill and/or injured domestic rabbits in a loving, emotionally stable, clean environment, providing quality nutrition and necessary medical and/or veterinary care until a permanent adopting home can be found;
- to prioritize public awareness of domestic rabbit care by providing Humane Education materials and seminars, veterinary referrals, low-cost spay and neuter programs, and basic care instruction regarding companion rabbits to any and all who request such;
- to make every effort to direct inquiries to more knowledgeable resources, be they individuals or organizations, should such requested information be beyond the scope of Rabbit Rescue volunteers;
- to accept any rabbit in need of help within our space limitations or medical resources, regardless of the rabbit's age, breed, sex, extent and/or kind of injury or illness or behavioral difficulties;
- to permanently foster such domestic rabbits who are considered "unadoptable" because of aforesaid conditions until a natural death occurs or humane euthanasia is necessary to alleviate the rabbit's suffering;
- to find acceptable, permanent homes and temporary foster homes and to thoroughly educate adopting families and fosterers.
