Pigeon Forge

Pigeon Forge - Part two

We were going to try to have breakfast/brunch at a place not far from the motel called Reagan’s House of Pancakes, but that was packed so we ended up at good old Cracker Barrel. Rose said she hadn’t been to Cracker Barrel since she was about 7, and Lily doesn’t remember ever going there before. So it was something different for them and a treat to go there, and Becky and I enjoyed it.

Then Becky and Rose wanted to go to see WonderWorks. Lily didn't want to go. So we stayed in the room and played cards. Becky reported: "It was fun, we actually went through the whole thing twice because there were a lot of things she didn’t want to do and wasn’t interested in, like the zipline obstacle course, the 'moon walk', and the gyroscope thingie."

Becky took a few pictures at WonderWorks.

The next day we went to the Crumbl Cookie store because we'd heard their cookies are AMAZING, like “life-changing” they’re so good. And they certainly were delicious, but after that huge buildup there was no way they could live up to our expectations!! We ate ours right away (or at least part of them), but the girls saved theirs for later. Here are Lily’s Double Fudge and Rose’s regular chocolate chip cookies (with a plastic fork for scale).

People talk about them being amazingly delicious and they are also HUGE.
You can’t tell in this picture but they are also very thick

Putt-putt fun at Fantasy Golf
A hole-in-one for Rose!

We enjoyed watching the world go by
from our private balcony
A beautiful day for a walk around town

Putt-putt part 2, at Lost Treasure Golf!
Lily got back-to-back holes-in-one, on holes #17 and #18!!

Lots of cute little shops to poke around in, fun restaurants, and best of all - yard games galore!

The secret is out! The BEST cheeseburgers on Planet Earth are at a cute little place with an unlikely name: The Cookie Dough Monster in Pigeon Forge!! Another fun discovery in Pigeon Forge: The Mountain Mile! (The Mountain Mile is a really nice little shopping center with lots of cute little stores, a huge astroturf play area with yard games that anyone can enjoy, some thrill rides for big kids and adults, and a cute little train for little kids.)

We enjoyed the heated pool at the motel, the Smoky Mountain Cat House, the wonderful birthday treat from Boyd and Courtney: tickets to the Hatfields and McCoys dinner show, creating new friends at Build-a-Bear, playing mini golf, exploring "WonderWorks" and so much more fun things we did in Pigeon Forge.

No trip to Pigeon Forge would be complete without a visit to The Apple Barn! Love these girls so much!!
