Tuesday nights are Family Supper nights. Everyone gets a turn to choose the menu for their night and the “girls” take turns preparing the meals.
The first Tuesday in March, Becky made Crack Chicken Chili, and for dessert we had lemon pie that Ellie had saved in the freezer. After supper the kids decorated for Easter.
The next week, Becky made tacos (it was Taco Tuesday after all) and Laurie provided the dessert that time – Reese’s Peanut Butter Cup "lasagna"!
The next week, Becky made Tater Tot Casserole. It was requested by Lily (one of her favorites).
After supper the kids like to play games in the dining room.
For dinner on Easter, we had ham (expertly sliced in advance by Laurie), beans, scalloped potatoes, Laurie’s famous cheese ball (shaped like a bunny), green bean casserole (one of Jim’s favorites prepared by Ellie in his honor), deviled eggs (Ellie’s specialty), Becky’s famous mac and cheese, her amazing three layer cool-aid pie and Boyd’s extra large no bake cookies for dessert.
