On April 14, 2024, Boyd and Courtney embarked on an epic 2-week road trip out west. They borrowed her dad's Suburban, sleeping in it at night at rest stops along the way.
Their first stop was Graceland, home of Elvis, in Memphis. The next day was spent visiting a few iconic places along Rt. 66, including dinner at the Big Texan Steakhouse. The next day was a visit to the UFO & Alien Museum in Roswell, NM. The next couple days were spent in Arizona, with a tour of the Biosphere in Oracle, AZ and the Grand Canyon.
They continued traveling west to Las Vegas, NV. There, they experienced OmegaMart, an interactive art exhibition. At this point, they started to head back east, driving through Utah and Colorado. In Denver, they went to Convergence Station, another interactive art venue, owned by the same company (Meow Wolf) who made OmegaMart. The next day they moved on to Sante Fe, NM with yet another visit to a Meow Wolf exhibit, called House of Eternal Return.
After being on the road for a whole week. they stopped at a hotel in TX and spent the day doing laundry, catching up on school work for Courtney, and just chilling. The next stop was Waco, TX where they visited the site of the Branch Davidian compound (the Waco Siege), a very sad and somber experience. They also went to the Dr. Pepper Museum, and Magnolia Farms (owned by Chip & JoAnna Gaines, the Fixer Upper couple.) Magnolia Farms was their only disappointing experience of their entire trip, a "major rip off" according to Boyd.
On their last day in TX, they went to The Museum of Weird in Austin, followed by a visit to the 4th and final Meow Wolf interactive art venue called The Real Unreal. Driving through OK, they stopped at Factory Obscura, which is an interactive exhibit similar to Meow Wolf. In Missouri, they went to the Sideshow Museum and the Uranus Fudge Factory. Finally back in TN, they spent their last 2 days at Courtney's sister's house near Nashville, just hanging out and going to a giant flea market and a giant book store. What an adventure!

The “report” is by no means exhaustive because they did other things, like going to casinos, and they visited some locations in NM that are related to that show Breaking Bad… but I don’t know what exactly
