Over Spring Break 99, I finally watched Sailormoon S episodes 90-113, (I’m going to purchase the last 2 volumes, but the 23 episodes I’ve seen are enough for me to be able to talk about the subject), and I’m prepared to dive headlong into the most debated subject matter in Sailormoon. The relationship between Michiru & Haruka.

I’m going to start off very blunt. They’re lesbians, deal with it!! All right, watching SMS, you realize that Michiru and Haruka have a very special, and touching relationship. I’m rather shocked that places like SOS would attempt to cover-up the truth with half-baked stories. Honestly, people just face it, they’re both L E S B I A N S. Personally if I had to choose which relationship should be at the center of Sailormoon, I’d choose Michiru & Haruka’s. They show more intimacy than Usagi & Mamoru, seem capable of, and are both deeply devoted to one another.

When I hear about people making anti- Michiru & Haruka pages it disturbs me. Yes, everyone is entitled to his or her own opinion, but I feel prejudice doesn’t count as a valid opinion. Even worse than anti- Michiru & Haruka people are the people who want them dubbed. These people wish to have Sailormoon S, dubbed by Sata- um DiC, who will most likely say that Michiru & Haruka are really close friends. An even worse proposition from fans was to make them sisters. For God’s sake people they look nothing alike!! Thankfully the chances of SMS getting dubbed are very slim (Thanks SOS! Your campaigns make the dub fans the #1 most hated fan group in the world!! Save our Sailors? Why don’t you save it for later guys..).

Now what I’ve said here is only half of the argument, and you should also consider the thoughts of the homophobic Sailormoon fans. Just because America is renowned for its prejudice doesn’t mean you should fear Michiru & Haruka’s relationship. Even if they’re both women you can still look on their love as an example of intimacy & devotion.

Oh and I’m sorry if the title mislead you.. There is no nudity (this is a text file anyway, and I don’t write hentai!)… Shake shake shake, shake shake shake, shake your booty, shake your booty!!
